And yet here you are. You’ve never played a #nochanges version of this game. Prepare yourself, because more are coming. You continue to pay every month and you continue to support it all. You think anyone of any importance is reading this topic?
The game isn’t difficult enough for you to want someone comfortable with only one spec. If your guild is anything like mine, you beat the entire tier within the first 2 weeks. Does it matter which one button rotation some random is using?
Already it begins. Do people really not see how this will play out? I swear some just can’t learn from history and have no understanding of human nature.
If people got what they wanted they’d turn TBCC into Shadowlands 0.5 and complain about how bad the game is. They should have focused on making the game as authentic as possible and if they did move to change something do polling with it needing >70% to pass.
The reason I know this will happen is because I was right here on the forums when it took place. I watched people ask for dual spec and Blizzard added it in Wrath. I then saw people ask for tri spec. The changes people ask for are the same ones that led to retail.
People complaining about tanks and saying “Blizzard please do something about the tank situation!” and in Wrath they added LFG. After LFG was added people went on the forums and said “This would be awesome for raids!”
It’s not a fallacy. It’s literally something that I’ve witnessed.
Ok. Blizzard is well known for bad decision making. If you ask them to make changes, don’t you think it likely they MIGHT make mistakes? If the history of Retail has shown anything, it’s that this is VERY likely.
I’m not even saying it’s a bad idea. I just want a slow, well thought out, and well tested advancement on any changes. Surely you don’t want Retail 2.0 do you?
We’ve all been given a rare second chance to play this wonderful game in one of it’s best versions. Please, don’t let impatience or imprudence ruin it.
And yet LFD and LFR don’t impact competitive players in the slightest. People that do those things were never going to do content that mattered. Dual spec or trispec doesn’t matter either. Competitive players already change specs in order to maximize progress, even with how easy classic is.
As long as the gameplay for TBC remains the same, we’re in good shape. Plenty of great games are simple.
