Rets have completely broken PvP. Almost no point in doing anything until it’s addressed. Arena, BGs, RSS… everything is being dominated by this spec. People are just leaving, going afk, or just logging off.
How long does this need to go on? How long does PvP content need to be held hostage to a single spec?
Edit: I usually don’t like linking to videos by some of the bigger streamers, but I think Venruki does a solid job summing up the issue. While this is more arena focused, the same issue is affecting bgs and world pvp.

Yea. Whoever has the most rets seems to win. I just got out of another BG and a 1/3 of both team are just rets. It’s almost hilarious.
They just delete everyone. This ret just buried me.
Those aren’t even big hits though. These ones happened in arena.
65% execute. Hilarious.

I’ve been a ret pally main since BC, through thick and thin. Seeing all these FOTM players flock to my favorite class just so they can be good without actually having to be good has been more annoying to me than anything. 
So I’ve been running M+ on my holy priest since 10.0.7 went live.

As long as this doesn’t impact AWC, they don’t really care to rush to fix anything.
I suggest joining the FOTM club, or joining a community that is 90% ret

That’s what it was like back during original Wrath, when DK’s came out. 
I am not saying it’s right. But Blizzard is kind of known for not being able to balance things correctly. This kind of thing goes wwaaaayyyy back.
Find some ret friends and group with them (@ OP)?

I havet even logged into retail for about 2 months cuz rets suck so much. I dont know how they are right now and I really dont care. 100% willing to bet if I log in again I will find it was nerfed again. If Classic had a different sub from retail then I would have already left retail. Retail is pure trash right now. Got sick of the nonstop ret paladin nerfs back to back to back.
Then they get a buff, people complain and they get nerfed again. Even people out there who refuse to group with you because you are a ret and then request you get on your alt to do the group. And I dont care if they do get buffed again, Blizzard will just hotifx NERF them into the ground as soon as humanly possible anyways.
I only ever play ret paladin or ele sham. Nothing else ever.
AND NOW we have a huge mass of people playing ret now? That will cause my class to get nerfed again. Last time I got a super nerf I raged on CS forums and got banned for a month. So no. I have ZERO faith that Blizz is capable of making my fav class good again.
Every time it gets buffed it gets nerfed to be rock bottom for the rest of the expac. ZERO faith in Blizzard to make me enjoy this game again. If Classic did not exist, I would have unsubbed long ago.

The Hyperbole is REAL! I especially like the part where the priest is out damaging their top dps and has zero deaths. Must be a Ret problem.
Yes but the funny part is ALL the super bad rets who bubble at the first sign of damage and get wrecked by anyone who can CC at all.

I switched to Ret on my Pally and I thought it felt kinda beefy. Good to know I’m not just imagining it.
Yea I only ever play ret pally and have since the very first of WoW. Well I was Holy up until Wrath then became ret ever since and never once have changed my spec ever. I used to play ret 20+ hours a day, days a week. I got beyond good at the class and spec. But now Blizz nerfs it more than any other class in history. Then they buff it again so much that it is going to be nerfed again.
That was my first toon to 60, to 70 to 80 and all that. Only class I have at 70 now in retail and I have 5 max level paladins in Classic as well, 3 of whom have PvP titles. So I play this class all day every day nonstop. That is why I post on the forums so much now is because they ruined paladins. If ret becomes good again I will be gone from these forums cuz I will be in game playing it as much as is humanly possible.
Now with so many going to paladin it is going to get nerfed again, then I will unsub again and I will go back to playing Lost Ark and Final Fantasy where they do not nerf and buff classes into the ground like they do here. This game honestly infuriates me. All I want is just to play ONE expansion where they do not nerf my class. I would actually stay subbed if they did that.
What logic is it that my 400+ pally got rejected and my 380 is non ret got excepted back to back from the same exact content in groups when there were no other rets there? And this happened before the buff. So yea. It was bad. Now it is good. Dont get your hopes up. They will NERF it just like they always do and they will nerf it to be worse than before it got buffed. I really dont like this game much at all anymore. All I want to do is play either an ele sham or a ret paladin. But I play other MMOs that dont go out of their way to RUIN your class just because you find it fun.
If I ran this game I would make it to where your best toon is the one you have to play no matter what in PvP and PvE which would stop people from switching to fotms. Only one toon allowed to do arenas, bgs, raids, and dungeons. There is ZERO reason why anyone should have all these alts. They only do it so that they can roll fotm as soon as it comes out.
I level my other toons, play them while I level them, then quit them. All these people going to ret is going to cause it to get a super nerf such as lay on hands and bubble being removed with 70% increased cast time on all heals and WoG requiring you get 5 holy power twice in a row in order to cast a heal that heals you for 10% HP over a 20 second period, that if you use divine steed you get a debuff to your damage for a full minute afterwards. Nerfs like that are coming very soon to the paladin class.
Every single buff my class has gotten is always met with a much bigger nerf later on to make it worse than before it was buffed in the first place. And yea you should NOT be allowed to play any other class in end game PvP or end game PvE that was not the very first class that you got to max level for the entire expansion pack. THAT would stop people from rolling fotms and would also stop my fav class from getting nerfed more than any other class in WoW history.
If you one Ret and then another joins, does that mean you have two Rets?

Yes. Nerf paladins by 10%, buff them by 15%, now they are too powerful so nerf them by 40%. Then buff them by 10% again. Then nerf them by 20%. When I move slower than a dead turtle and cant dps my way out of a wet paper bag, then I think Blizzard will be happy with my class.
