It’s so hard to look for weapons and trinkets for ret pally. WQ reward int item, waited 2 days to do community feast and gave me int trinket, blackdragon keep gave me int trinket, everything I can get in open world is INT INT INT!
Same goes for my rogue, I have the SAME trinket reward from 5/6 blackdragon keep weekly, and 2/6 the SAME trinket last week.
You gotta do something about the loot, loot is so f-up rite now, even in raid!

I 100% agree OP, its super unfair and super toxic that the only place to get weapons and trinkets is from world quest, for years and years you have been able to do other content in the game to get gear but now blizzard only wants people to do wq in dragon flight, i dont understand why they made this change its super bad for the game
you are getting int trinkets it raid? just dont roll on those then.
She is getting these in world content, not the raid.
Ion is trying to bring back the hybrid tax, where if you are playing a hybrid you must heal.

world quests, world bosses, and rare drops give class gear, not spec gear. been this way for quite a long time.

You aren’t automatically gear up once you hit max lvl. Who’s gonna invite you anything serious with green lvling gears? What if you dont have thousands and millions gold for crafted goodness? If it’s not WQ and weekly, tell me where you gonna get gears.
And no, my loot spec is ret. But loot drops seem to ignore all that.
My Evoker keeps on getting STR polearms, tanking trinkets…from weeklies, world bosses, and zone events.
Got the polearm earlier tonight doing the Keep event.
I’m still scratching my head on that too.

Noooo…? I think the loot toggle doesn’t work quite right. Not just on weeklies, etc.
If I change my loot setting away from my current spec, I’ve tracked less loot drops in dungeons (as an example). I could go 5 or 6 (sometimes more) w/o a gear drop at all.
Notice I didn’t say just any drop, just gear.
Dragon skins, useless Training Matrices…neat to get Primal Chaos now and again, but not gear.
Bump it back to “current spec”, never go more than every other dungeon with a gear drop.
WQs are weird on their own…they can be fixed rewards, notably for a spec you aren’t geared for (poster comments partially on that line). I see so many tank items on my monk (who doesn’t tank), ditto for my druid (not this one, but will be the same as the one I’m talking about), enhance gear on my shammy…then, every once in awhile, it’ll line up.
But the events. The Keep. The Soup. The Hunt. World Boss(es).
Absolutely random drops. Complete disregards class, much less spec, completely.
That’s the pain point.

That’s just bad luck. I haven’t seen a problem with setting loot specs.
They’ve always been like this. They don’t swap rewards when you spec swap. Never have.
They are still drops?
So the complaints are because rng and not the right drops got it.
Loot literally RAINS this xpac. Between rares, mega rares, wq, weekly quests, storms…
Like the list goes on. If you are suffering from lack of loot, are you actually doing the content?
I’ve never had an xpac where I’ve vendored so many 379+ weapons and armor in my life.
No. That, unlike everywhere else, when gear drops at least it’s for your class…even if you don’t use that particular spec.
Which, I believe, is the major TLDR of the OP.
My Warrior’s IQ keeps swelling with every intellect loot drop. Soon I will pass 10 IQ.
