What content, past, present, or some dream from the future would you like to see as evergreen content?
Personally, I’d like to see both Garrisons and Class Order Halls reworked in the future to be evergreen content, though I understand asking for dev time on that could be slightly detrimental to new stuff in the future, but I think it’s worth it to make the things we already have more relevant
They had an idea which ultimately changed to artifact weapons… where you’d have a tome or something with you that changed in appearance the more you’d feed it some power or w.e or was it time based, i don’t remember.
That would be nice to see realized as something that comes with us across expansions. Doesn’t need to be power based, maybe open world to give some fun little perks perhaps.
Garrisons in some form would be cool to get back.
I think ultimately making the world more relevant in some form or another would feel good instead of just 4 zones, expansion specific things/ideas.
With DF coming to an end I’m sad to think that there won’t be any more Drake Customization options being added in the future potentially.
I absolutely LOVE having mounts that I can personalize/customize and collecting all the Drake Manuscripts has been one of my main goals all expansion long.
I still have quite the wishlist of features/manus I want to see added but I feel like it’ll be over with the end of Dragonflight soon and it makes me sad.
So yeah, customized mounts! Love em!
…
Blizz pls give me a mane option for my Highland Drake’s neck like Senegos. And a maned tail for the Highland Drake like Nozdormu’s.
PROPER WHITE HORNS FOR HIGHLAND DRAKES COME ONNNNN
Some sort of “Mage Tower 2.0” challenge or something similar would be nice, but I’m not holding my breath on that since everyone was expecting it to come during DF but the expansion is already announced to be over/winding down so…
Yeah, I really want an overhaul on character creation that includes sliders and more color options for stuff. Making them all neutral would be nice too, the faction war is old hat, I’m over it
I want to see player housing and Class Order Halls added to.
For Class Order Halls I would like to see it become a place where we go to get cosmetic options for our classes. Take the druid forms, those could have been rewards from their order hall. Going out killing the rare and bring some item back that would allow for that form. Or small quest chains were you do some “training” to learn how to take on that form. The same could be done for more class themed gear, spell effects, or class skins.
For player housing, I am not expecting anything crazy or grand. Pretty much a mix of garrisons and MoP farm. Even with those limitations there is still a lot that can be done. There are quest that can be added for all types of content. Add in a new profession Woodworking which allows for logging, think of the WoD tree logging ability. That is already in game so why let it rot. Even other professions can be use to make home items. There even could be spawn items that you can click on and take. PvP or stealth quest where you go into opposite faction areas to get items. I know some of the Alliance would love, just love to have a few of these spikes.
I did have an idea for a tower of time but I think Delves maybe that idea.
In ff14 you have sliders for body size, muscles, ears and what not. There are color palettes for the hair, skin and eyes, you can customize the chin, scars, eye brows, tattoos etc.
WoW feels so incredibly dated in comparison… I mean… we get like… 4 new hair tones every few months… xD
There were a number of MMOs that all of that when WoW came out. If I remember correctly Perfect World had body, height, and sliders for facial features. You could pick skin and hair from a color wheel. Maple Story also had better options once you got into their cash shop as well. These are free to play games so I don’t know why WoW as so lacking. It took them almost 20 years to get more skin tone and face options for humans…only to lock certain face options to be certain still tones. >.>
Ah no thanks. You want something like that, then give us a truly creative and beautiful player housing system. That there would be a fab casual evergreen content because houses could be put into any expansion zone and items for them could be incorporated into just about every aspect of the game, from exploration to crafting to wherever the devs wanted to take it.
Yeah, I guess we are all just lucky that those developers decided to focus on those things. I doubt those games would have been so successful if they had focused on something like…good gameplay and smooth combat like WoW did.
Also…you know you just referenced the character customizations of a 2-D game right? Come on. Yup, the 2-D side scroller MMO Maple Story was the pinnacle of character customizations, lol.
