Every once in a while I will get reminded that season 8 happened and I get sad. Such a beautiful show with excellent dialogue, politics, characters, and setting threw down the trash to be some sort of superhero cookie-cutter action fiesta.
Not only that when I watch old clips of the show it makes me happy because it reminds me of sitting at home with my friend or girlfriend or family watching the show. Then they destroyed it!
May D&D never get ahead in life.
Yeah it’s kind of depressing. Still irritates me about what GRRM did to Daenerys and how Weiss/Benioff/HBO rushed the last season.
However, I appreciate the warning to not to read any future books. Well, it’s not like GRRM is going to get them released before he passes away anyways.
Gonna be honest, the only reason I want to read the future books is so I can see how it really should have happened…
Season 7 and 8 was based on notes GRRM gave to HBO. So while there are some side stories that will get wrapped up by the books, it looks like the fate of the major characters has been spoiled.
Dany will go crazy.
Jon will live with the Wildlings.
Bran will become king.
Arya will leave everyone.
So like I said, not interested in the books anymore.

Well yes the characters ended up where I wanted them to. But I want to know how they really got there. I refuse to believe Dany went crazy in the course of 1 chapter, Jon becomes nothing but a simp, Bran becomes a weird creepy man that can see everything but has 0 purpose to anything, and Arya will use her abilities more.
I just hated how fast everything felt, they completely rushed it just feels like a gutted show. The writing was just so bad.
