Ever played the game with no addons at end game?

Just wondering how playable the game is with zero addons at all right now at end game. I challenge you to try this for at least one mythic plus dungeon and/or raid at normal difficulty.

The game difficulty is often adjusted based on common addons from what I’ve understood. So are we just playing on easy mode?

And yes I mean literally none. Turn all of them off and play with the base UI with no macros at all.

But… macros are in the base game lol

And nah, I’d rather be dead than deal with the default UI lol

Nope can’t even use those to make things easier. Only keybinds and the base UI! And yeah it is rough for sure.

Don’t care.

I usually only use keybinds, but I like a minimal ui.

Usually the bars that have my rotational abilities are hidden and I only display major cd’s or abilities that have procs

I mean, it’s not that hard. I use the base UI, I have DBM installed but everything is turned off. I don’t use it for timers or positioning or whatever. I don’t have any weak auras or anything like that. I’m not going to say I’m an amazing player, but I also have downed heroic bosses while doing mechanics correctly and done 15s in mythic plus.

All the information you need for anything under Mythic is given in game. Just listen to boss dialogue and sound affects and pay attention to the game.

Now I do have some add-ons like bagnon and immersion but nothing that would change my gameplay.

Why stop there? Click all abilities and hide your UI, and also blindfold yourself and turn off your monitor

I always use an addon. Only times I don’t are on beta and ptr

Regarding m+, I think healing would be the most difficult but I’m compelled to try this since I’m pretty much done pushing. I might try it and post a video of it.

I haven’t played with the base UI but aren’t the health frames of my party in the top left? Is that even moveable because that’s going to be a pain to heal.

No thanks.

  • I can not stand the look of the standard UI.
  • I despise not having a list of transmogs and items I still need to collect when walking into a dungeon, raid or zone.
  • They save me a ton of time when I deal with anything on the AH.
  • I don’t want to have to remember or look up pet battles that I’ve already done a hundred times before.

That’s how I play really. Only other stuff is just timers to see what’s coming, or tracking buffs from your legendary because the base ui doesn’t really have that.

You don’t need anything fancy.

I don’t use addons anymore and I prefer it to using addons but I know a lot of folks insist they’re necessary. I’m pretty casual. If there are heights I’m obstructed from by doing this so be it. Maybe one day Blizz will use that sub money to make their game fully functional as is.

My 2’s partner uses no addons and just finished getting Gladiator this season. It can work, but I prefer addons.

I wish I could. Set your font to 2 that how I see without addons.

I would be more excited for RWFs if they were so skilled and set apart from the rest of the player base that addons weren’t necessary for them.

Just my 2 cents. 98 more cents and you’ll have a rectangular piece of paper with some dude’s face on it.

The only addon I run and have ran for the last couple years is recount. While things like weakauras and other trackers can be helpful I think its important to note that with the exception of a few things like seeing who interrupted what, or what cds the team has available, pretty much everything can be gleaned from watching the game, you have to train your eye for it.

I play with the least possible addons needed. I barely even have DBM turned on for most M+ dungeons i do at a kinda high level at like the 19+ range, and i dont turn them only for raids outside of bosses were its needed.

Yeah Pal 2004 Vanilla wow happened almost 2 decades go this is just dumb
