Come on Blizzard, I’m glad you did an event of this scale and so varied to celebrate the 15th anniversary and stuff. Really great.
But, could you PLEASE, next time, make sure to drop only relevant gear in the drop tables? Not like the NECKLACE you dropped me last night, or the HELMET that has NO AZERITE TRAITS whatsoever.
The event is designed for all levels not just 110+. Leave the mog from the chest, shoulders and helm in.
And even then if you want azerite gear, bare minimum do your weekly islands and there is a high chance you’ll get the titan residuum table mission. Do that for like 2-3 weeks and you can buy cheap random azerite pieces. Or go do a sub +10 m+ run to build up TR.
It’s a throwback raid for nostalgia… not something used for gear progression. Just have fun with it and know that you’re there for a good time (and time badges) and not for gear.
The Alterac Vally is the one open to all levels, the raids are only for max level players. Also, the item level is 420, which is a good catch up mechanic, so there is reall no point in dropping piece that already locked because of the azerite gear and HoA.
You are supposed to relive the raid and remember how it was. But since you never actually do the full fight, or any of the actual hard parts, maybe nothing should be on the drop table? Including the mounts.
If that’s the case, then it shouldn’t be dropping ilvl 430 gear.
Yet the two items I’ve gotten thus far is an ilvl430 shoulder and ilvl430 necklace which would be superior to my current gear if not for Azerite power/traits.
Agree. I got a plate chest piece on my pally. While ilvl was a bit higher, stats were somehow worse, it was not an Azerite item, and it wasn’t a transmog. I wasn’t expecting to get any gear, but the ability to add it to my appearance collection would have been nice - it looked pretty cool.
