Haha haven’t done PvP in DK in while and holy cow. Even my vengeance DH or my guardian druid do way more damage than Frost DK in arenas. That’s just ridiculous .____. DK is not good at all in PvE right now, but it’s completely garbage in PvP. That’s just sad

Frost is very setup and go based. And you run and kite when not in your win condition. So if its a longer game it’s possible a tank might have higher overall damage although unlikely, but you will still do way more DMG during your go.
If you do less damage than a tank in UH you are just straight up bad and need to address your rotation.
I find it hilarious that among all classes, the DK players are the ones always saying “just git gud” instead of recognizing their class is in the bottom tier xD DKs could be hitting 0 and they would still praise blizzard for their nerfs … amazing.
It’s not easy getting to like DK when not only blizzard is treating them unfairly, but their own playerbase is delusional.
P.S: I never mentioned UH btw

There’s no argument to be made that DK is in fact subpar in PvP, and they should remove a lot of aura nerfs on frost abilities, but to say they’re bad in PvE is wrong.
Unh is the highest boss damage melee (will change with fight timers) and 4th on overall. No one is playing frost, fairly so as BOS is rather trash for prog with high movement fights but it’s clear that frost does do damage. Not only that but oblit is actually quite strong in terms of a m+ damage profile.
The current charts paint a hyper polarized situation, and are also misleading. DK does need some QoL things addressed at minimum and a rework would be beneficial, but however much I dislike the current design of both BOS and oblit, it can pump with the right player.

I’m not defending DKs as being good. They bottom teir for sure and needs some attention.
But saying tanks do more damage is just inaccurate.

DK is not bottom tier. Both Frost and Unholy earlier this patch with the new raid out were right in the middle of the pack being pretty balanced with the majority of the specs not counting the extremes on either end.
Hmm not sure why I pump so much dps as frost then.
Could be that you are lvl 80 and the rest of us are lvl 70?

Good thing pvp isn’t a game mode where people try to stop goes so that frost can actually do its damage during goes!
Jokes aside, I think most frost dks would love damage smoothed out more so consistent pressure is an option in pvp and pve. The damage is pretty good if they are actually allowed to play during pillar as unlikely as that is.

I think this is the big issue, it is just like old ret where the spec was honestly fine damage wise, but it was just awful feeling to play with all the set up.
I really think they should try just putting cleaving strikes on remorseless winter and giving it 2 charges, make howling blast aoe cap at 5 targets instead of 1, and then make frostscythe baseline and buff it by like 50% so it is worth using.
That might be enough to make the spec feel a bit better even if they want to rework it later.
The entire post is about tanks doing better damage… they dont. All tanks take the bottom tier spot. If you think Frost is bottom tier then you are just bad.

Good for him. Tanks are still worse in terms of damage or even meaningful damage than Frost is so the title is a lie.
If that’s what you think, you clearly haven’t done any rated arenas nor bgs and encounter a beefy bear lol. If you don’t do PvP you shouldn’t comment on something you have no idea about
