It might get them off the Solo mentality. And quit treating the BG Finder like it’s some form of a Group Finder.
Also, don’t forget, I want them untimed, as well.
Why is Blizzard continually making moves that essentially bars players from participating in basic content like battlegrounds?
It takes 2 weeks to level an alliance alt to the point you can insta que into av.

I didn’t have any que at all when I logged into Bloodsail Buccaneers and did PvE.
World buffs>gear. I’m not AV exalted and have played since launch and I raid every weekend. /shrug
You know we were clearing MC in scholo/strat/BRD/BRS gear right? Those places are available to you today, followed by MC and BWL.
Pirate servers mean absolutely nothing to classic. Find a better talking point.

They aren’t- if there’s 1000 horde and 1000 alliance before the split, then your queues will be the exact same now as before, perhaps slightly increasing during way offpeak times.
That’s how Blizz designed it, and making that 500:500 by cutting it in half won’t create a problem at all.
So what creates a problem? When everyone picks a faction because the racials, map and world design all massively favour that faction in pvp.
So either the blame is on:
1- Blizzard for stacking a faction in pvp, in which case sure that’s their fault, and the fix is to greatly nerf horde racials, buff alliance racials, and flip the AV map so it favours alliance at least until enough players reroll to bring queues to zero.
2- Horde players for all picking the same faction despite everyone saying this would happen with queues, and then doing everything they could to get alliance pvpers to quit during phase 2, and then whining until Blizz made AV even easier for them to drive their queues up in AV, and then doing all they could to both drive AV length up and negate Alliance awards by prevent LT kills to make most Allies lose interest in AV.
Either way- the fix is in the hands of Horde players literally since launch, but instead of trying to fix it you’ve taken every opportunity to make your situation worse.

I do. Heartseeker alliance, Westfall Alliance, etc would suffer.
Yes, a few alliance servers would be impacted.
Horde would be crushed on the vast majority of servers.
And < 60 BGs would be crushed for both.
It’d probably make horde transfer off to the lower pop horde servers.
During the launch of AV, queues were nearly instant for everyone and Ally won in roughly 8-10 min each game before Ally AV Premades. Once many people got the rep rewards, and Horde began countering the zerg more, relative Ally participation began to drop.
Since then Horde queue times have continued to increase, indicating Ally participation is continuing to decrease.
In general, Horde players enjoy PvP while Ally players enjoy PvE. The queue times will always be shorter for Ally, with a possible lower win rate overall; whereas queue times will always be longer for Horde, with a possible higher win rate overall.
The best solution is to make a Premade and only queue with them for WSG/AB. I know this is parroted a lot, and know not everyone wants to Premade. However, it is likely the only solution if you’re looking for shorter queues outside of rerolling Ally, which comes with a 100% loss rate in AV. I feel it is highly unlikely that Blizz will revert the East/West split. But there could be a possibly of it due to the general negative feedback from the change.
