The Mouse have power over government

Had The Mouse been the one buying Activision Blizzard it’d probably go through

watch when sony buys them and not a peep from the FTC or others
in this case massive lawsuits

Where was the planet when Disney was nuking the EU? I think we should shift some of the blame for WW5 on this dumb rock.

It means if EU says no, then the merge can’t happen anywhere including here in America

You will see that its gonna happen. Billy Gates doesnt fear the EU because he OWNS it.

It’s the year 2035, Disney is finalizing with the Amazon and Universal Studios buyout, with flying colors of agreements of every government in the world

it sounds like Jack can’t sell his pen to Joe because some random in europe says no but it’s gotta be deeper than that

if they have stocks in sony i can see why they are halting this deal

because Microsoft is a whole lot better than Activision as far as parent companies go.

On the plus side, I like getting Disney reward points when I buy Fox movies now. I have got so much free plushies and stuff.

He has not been part of Microsoft in years though. He stepped down as CEO 23 years ago (2000). He is no longer on the advisory board either.

Challenges to buyouts and mergers is normal. The politicians respond to pressure from donors. So if another entertainment company tells them to object, they will. It is all politics all the time. The stockholders are the ones pushing the agendas, usually.

Usually the deals end up going through in the end, sometimes with adjustments or concessions.

That is my opinion too. I hope it goes through. They have bought other game companies and pretty much left them alone to do their thing. I have a friend at another one they bought out and she said it is surprisingly good. Also lots more access to professional development tools/training and resources.

How can the EU decide if two American companies merge?

Does America have a say in whether or not two EU companies can merge?

When an American company does business in another country, you don’t want to lose your business with them either

Like how Blizzard is about to lose the Chinese market, they most likely don’t want to lose the EU market either

Ah ok, I follow you. Thanks for clarifying.

That was Blizzard’s choice though. They did not want to agree to the terms NetEase wanted. They preferred to just plain stop doing business in China for now instead.

That said, chances of them finding another Chinese partner (as required by Chinese law to do business there), are high. I personally have opinions about that… but won’t get into them here.
