With all the new information about ethereals in the story. Do you think they will be our enemies or our allies?

Ethereals are exceptionally hit or miss. We helped them out in TBC and now in TWW. You have to take note that there are many kinds of Ethereals, not just one type.
The current one we’re helping out comes from Void Space, since they don’t like what Xal is doing.

They are opportunists. Neither friend or foe…like mercenaries.

Kinda hard telling. They’re certainly business oriented. Basically space goblins.
I’m leaning towards “Neutral in most aspects” but there are probably factions among them that are for us and some against us.

They’re neither, just like Goblins were prior to SL and Pandaren… most races are neutral and nebulous enough that they’re neither Horde nor Alliance exclusively not affiliated with a single faction but usually most neutral factions.
In fact having playable races be “Alliance” or “horde” for the most part makes no sense, especially when they’re for the most part only a small sliver of larger races like Darkspear Trolls and Zandalari, there are dozens of Troll tribes independent of the Horde.

Mal nailed the answer here. Ethereals will be ethereal in all ways. I don’t think we’ll ever be sure one way or another. In terms of story, that’s perfectly fine.
I’m glad Blizzard removed the First Aid skill. Ethereals would deplete our supply of bandages in a day.

Its blizzard. If they’re not cartoonishly evil villains, then theyre probably just misunderstood good guys on a redemption arc.

They’ve always been both to us, because every ethereal does not have the same motivations.
Lot of stuff has indicated that despite, y’know, going through the void-death of their home star, they’re functionally not drastically different from most of the races we’ve come across so far.
Blizzard doesn’t always write cartoonishly evil or tragically misunderstood good guys, though?
They can, and do lean on it sometimes. Not always.
Void Ethereals are attached to the whispers of the Void (very similar to old god cults). Likely enemies to us.

Yes. They will be both. We’ve already seen this in game. Some of them have helped us. Some of them have fought us. The Ethereals aren’t a new race.

There’s a pile of factions with the ethereals. It’s appropriate to see them featured so heavily in Undermine, as they too have Trade Princes.
These ones are pretty obviously baddies. Brooding over The Dark Heart as you stand over a black abyss is highly suspect behavior for anyone.
Theres this one ethereal that graces me with different transformations… i say friend…
and one helps me maintain my Fashion when I’m away from Capital Cities.
I love how that one basically just casually insults the player every time they’re summoned, lol.
