I have the quest too. Can you actually get the transmog if you have the quest but don’t have the expensive version?
I’ve seen a few with the mog but not the mount.
I’ve seen more than a few pick up/turn in the quest off mine.
Sounds like something that will be changed eventually. In case not, I will try to complete the quest asap. lol. But i seem to only get 5 per day.
It starts out great… then dies off.
Surprisingly got quite a few in torghast on my hunter. (I do the quest on each character just for lols).

If you mean the version of the expansion that gives you the mount, no you don’t need that yourself to get the transmog. You just need access to the quest giver which you would need to access through a player that does have the relevant expansion edition that gives them the mount.

You can cheese it by picking up the quest from someone else’s NPC, even if you’re technically not eligible.
To turn it in, you just need to do the same thing again - get someone else to pop the NPC out, so you can do the turn in.

you return the quest to the players mount.
…and that player, would be YOU…

Turn the quest in.

yes, i did the quest without the mount… just clicked on someone spawn NPC and received the quest… then just clicked on its but to spawn him again and turn it in…
