Eternal pet in combat needs to be fixed

Some pets follow the standard /petfollow command. Others like imps just keep attacking no matter what. Sometimes they are in combat with absolutely nothing in sight and no idea why. This prevents us from mounting and we just waddle across the battlefield. I don’t really care how it gets fixed but here’s some ideas:

  • Demonic Chewing Scream at the imps like you’re a drill sergeant. Get up in their faces. Make them understand with /petfollow is an they are not special snowflakes that get to ignore it. Make all pets follow the /petfollow command. Ensure they drop their targets and stop attacking as well as don’t randomly pick up new targets because someone with some stupid dk with an aoe aura walks by.

  • Explosion… variation of implosion. All of your summond demons, dogs, imps, everything but Felguard explode even without a target. Doesn’t need to do any damage, just get rid of them all.

  • Succinct Persuasion - You explain fine print in the demonic contract to the imps where it says you can send them back to the nether for 10,000 years of twisting solitude if they don’t get their shift together and stop keeping me in combat.

  • Shock Collars… Give us a button we can press to shock the shell out of them until they come back … or had too much and died.

See I’ve got great ideas but I’m sure there’s a billion more but can we please, please fix these cranky little imps who just refuse to leave combat many times for absolutely no reason and nothing around I can use implosion on…

At the very least put a lot of respawning rats in the battlegrounds that we can target and do an imp implosion on it.

Yeah I don’t understand why some of the demons refused to do your bidding. But I guess that fits demolock fantasy.

But I thought I this point of the game were past being master summoner’s at this point that can command greater named demons which are a whole lot more powerful than unnamed ones.

This is hilarious. Like imagine if you open a nether portal but who knows if anything will cross through it, maybe they’re lazy today, maybe not!

More of a suggestion/invitation really , like you may join the fight if you’d like. Peak clown summoner fantasy!

Yeah. I remember someone saying in another that they are wild imps. So it fits hahha.

I mean imagine design something like the Bright Wizard / Shadowcaster from Warhammer Online, where sure you can try for a more powerful spell that will most likely destroy anything in its path but also the more chance of blowing yourself up. That would probably fits destro really well.

That would be thematically cool but the hit or miss nature of gameplay will often be too frustrating to play properly , besides people will only look at the cases where the damage doesn’t fail, call it survivors bias, as the “metric” for balance. Which most often than not will result in nerfs.

Yeah I figure that’s how it would eventually fall.
