I played P1 religiously, and a bit of P2. But quit after Gnomer. My realm is dead, merged into some unholy mega server. I’ve enjoyed the launch of TWW Season 1, but I’m done AoTC and KSM and the expansion is on maintenance for me now. I hear whispers of Blizzard announcing fresh realms at Warcraft Direct, but it looks like they’ll be hardcore??
So, how’s SoD P5 doing? Is the Rune grind insane if I were to make a level 1 today? Are there any reroll events or anything spooling up for it?

If they do announce fresh servers at Warcraft Direct, I’ll definitely go! SoD feels like I’m so far behind. I made a Holy Paladin, got to 23 in about 7 hours. But looking at that 9/33 runes is just oof. So many rep grinds, long group quests etc. And I have yet to find a single group for Deadmines, SFK or Stockades. They just don’t seem to be being run.
Hell even if I was a fresh 60 it almost feels like I’m too far behind. All of the end-game groups are gear checking, the PvP premades too.

Come play era now, if you want a real nail biting experience that also hits a fresh like experience.

There are whispers of a fresh HC realm coming with the Warcraft Direct conference. I’ve done HC a few times before, have a 47 rogue, a 34 shaman, some other characters here and there. Never made it to 60 (although only died once due to a D/C).
I’ll dive into a fresh HC realm if one is offered.
