I’m starting to think the real alt killer is the cloak.
At least with the essences it was varied and you could target some.
At least with corrupted gear, it’s going to fall eventually while doing something.
But that cloak and doing horrific visions over and over. Barely tolerable on toon that can handle all the CC, loss of control, ground aoe, and make it through.
If i rolled a new alt right now, I would need to do 3 weeks of old content dailies for LD Major 3, 3-8 Weeks of arena conq cap to get C/S Rank 3.
Really great game.
The problem is everyone has been convinced that having an alt with absolutely mediocre and atrocious essences is okay!

Gratz on your achievements. I don’t care what your characters have done. The convo is about people complaining they can’t do anything without essences when it’s obvious people can; People just want BIS everything for free.
I want old content from old patches for free, yes.
Why are we making people go back into TEP? Go do Nazjatar? Go do Mechagon rep? It’s old content.
I’ve got more geared alts with bis essences that most likely anyone in this entire thread and I’m still cheering it on.

It’s obvious blizz is chasing time played metrics by making 8.2 and 8.3 relevant. Why else would they do this. Every system of this entire expansion is a joke.

Which class needs this essence to be viable?
I believe in character progression/systems vs account. Just my opinion/view on mmorpg’s. Nothing against people who believe otherwise
