You do realize this is a function of their literally being 0 way to work on progressing your character outside of raiding right?
Thats why it works, all the upgrade paths locked in 1 raid with a weekly lockout.
CFL is one of the easy ones, and it kinds sucks outside of raiding.
So…you dont want to raid, to get an essence great for…raiding?

I would like to think they put that much thought into it, but given the direction we seem to be heading in, I doubt it.
I see more and more people complaining and pushing back against the stupid, but it seems the tidal wave continues.
Would I like a game without them? Yes. Do I think they are worse then AP or most of the game reduced to welfare grinding?
No.
I’ve been tanking M+ on my DK I hadn’t used since 8.1.
I’m tanking with 2 Rank 1 essences.
I don’t understand the “Essences don’t allow me to play alts!” bit.

Problem is, creating multiple threads of the same issue is breaking the code of conduct. Even if they are made by different people. That said, GD gets filtered out very quickly compared to other forums like the bug forums.
For some reason alts with horrible gear are ok, but not having bis essences makes them un-playable.
I guess we discount that almost all of the content was done with sub-optimal essences during prog.

I definitely wish essences were account wide. I will never see rank 4 Lucid Dreams because I do not have it in me to spend 90 days in Nazjatar on one character. Between alts, will likely surpass that.
But that’s rank 4. I don’t see getting rank 1 essences to be such a big deal at all. My DK has been level 120 for 2 weeks and he already has some rank 3s…and I’m not going out of my way for them (minus conflict and strife…which I wanted asap).
We’re just talking alts, right? Doesn’t need to be as geared as your main–low ranks not the end of the world for an alt. Just doing basic stuff, you get those rank 1s.
Are you payed by Square Enix to attack Blizzard ? No ? Then he’s not paid to defend Blizzard. Simple concept.

not BOA’ing Essences is what ruined this game for so many people, not specifically essences themselves but having to grind it on every toon is pathetic
Ion doesn’t know what he is doing the same story since WoD launched and he took over. He is a disaster that is running the game into the dirt. Everyone wants account bound essences and I mean everyone yet somehow we aren’t allowed to have that because I guess if you removed the essence grind this expansion would literally have no content it’s as barren as a desert when it comes to content.

I get more enjoyment of my alts when I ignore them. I suggest you do the same. There are a couple easy ones to get. It suck’s you won’t be comparable in output to other people though.
