I totally get why Blizzard would want to nerf Mana Tea… but Essence Font? WHY? It’s finally been fun to run Upwelling again
Im soo tired whoever doing these balance changes for Mistweaver !!they poop on mistweaver all dragon-flight!!! Now we back in the mix then boom nerf essentfont has be worthless now that it can be something again they nerf it buy 10% is just poop!! Then they lazy buff everything on resto druids 3% across the board wtf!!! Not going lie they poop on mistweavers again im dun with this game forever!! Let the mistweaver have there damb time in the sun!!!
Yea I think the essence font changes are a knee jerk reaction… like maybe the mana tea change + 10% reduced healing first would have been fair on its own
But adding 0.2 seconds per bolt and reducing upwelling by 3 total stacks is just gg
Way too many nerfs at once
The mana tea change on its own is going to greatly limit EF Faeline double build which is a main source of so much EF healing through rising mist
Also can the dev maybe think having a good powerful channel spell on an otherwise hyper active class is actually great for game play?
Having EF channel allows you to:
Stop and think
Position yourself for mechanics
Consider your resources
And what’s worse is that as mentioned before introducing mana tea, mana tea is adding additional cast time to our primary abilities
So having it nerfed too is a double whammy because both mana tea and upwelling Essence font have long opportunity cost channel times that you have to factor in
Sure are awfully careful about buffing other specs (ehem WWs tint 6%) but super eager to slash a performing monk spec to death.
I think because of creators and such. I just watched a youtube video today about monk, in which the dude was saying essence font needs to be removed, because they hate it, and “no one i know likes it,” etc.
There’s several abilities people hate but feel forced to use because they’re crucial for their preferred playstyle. And blizz is trying to cater to everyone so they can’t just rework a spec with who knows how many builds in it, which means nothing ever gets anywhere.
aw, i disagree. with the “nothing ever gets anywhere,” lol. Everything is already where it needs to be.
The only thing that is needed is a cultural shift from being “optimal.” At the end of the day (barring really high mythic+ and competitive mythics), the goal is to kill the boss. They have enrage timers, but let’s be real, they’re almost never a worry. As long as you kill the boss, kept everyone alive, etc., you did your job. You’re heroes!
The issue is when people start stratifying and obsessing over percents. Then it becomes about what’s optimal, even though what is “sub-optimal” is still totally usable.
I can take my MW monk and use Rushing Jade Wind if I wanted and still keep everyone alive, if that was my preferred playstyle. It’s only an issue when I start worrying about my numbers, or when someone else holds me accountable for not killing the boss 30 seconds faster.
There are people that are FotM in classes, and then there are those who are FotM within their own spec lol. Going away from their preferred way to play just because it’s no longer optimal, even though it’s still totally useable.
This is exactly why they got rid of talent trees to begin with, which was a mistake. The solution is to combat the rhetoric and the culture, not remove flavor and options.
(And then, ever present, is the specter of pvp. That’s a different issue entirely lol. I think they should do like ffxiv and make pvp have its own abilities with their own tuning entirely)
OP fuming once again, even more
