ESO or FF14?

I need help picking which one to get into, they both interest me but I just can’t pick.

Do they offer free trails? If so try both!

FF8 just came out on mobile.

League of Legends did too.

The third option would be WoW.

FF14’s terrible

ESO’s okay. But kinda feels limiting in some aspects.

A WoW mobile game would be nice.

I wish I could keep playing wow but I burned out.

Well what do you want in an MMO? Because both have differeing strengths

Both are great option but FFXIV has a 300IQ story that only genius level writers create and get you in the feel for. ESO is more for open world world experience like previous titles.

I’d say ESO is a better game but it is held back by the absolutely massive cash shop, it also doesn’t use faceroll tab targeting which turns off a lot of wow players

FF14 is just a wow variation that feels very different in some aspects of gameplay - you really have to play it for a bit to see if you like the differences

It’s honestly kind of astonishing how close to Elder Scrolls that ESO manages to feel while being ditinctly it’s own experience.

And also absolutely being the best one of the lot sans Mods.

ESO. Not even a discussion.

I love:

  • Character progression, that feeling of getting stronger and hitting harder
  • Balanced PVP
  • Rated PVP
  • Dungeons
  • Crafting

I hate:

  • Unbalanced PVP
  • Raiding (I don’t hate raids I just don’t want to commit to it)
  • Unrewarding games (like WoW is right now)

ESO for me. I never got into the end game or dungeons. But I love going around questing and doing the various main stories. I tried FF 14 and hated it.

I always keep my WOW subscription but during the down times I do some solo questing in ESO or run other solo RPGs.

Can’t speak for the PVP, but FFXIV has really well made dungeons, a fairly well orchestrated feeling of character progression, and some of the most interesting and involved crafting I’ve seen in any MMO ever.

FF XIV over ESO for this

…I don’t PvP but I think ESO Has more focus for it, or at least more things to do with it.

ESO has a wider variety of dungeons-particularly if you sub, but many are not for the faint of heart (the DLC ones)

ESO and FF XIV both have better crafting than WoW so it will mostly come down to how you like your crafting
