i dont think you can. it’s the same issue they had last ptr.
Deleting the Interface folder fixed it for me
Thanks, Looks like an add-on is causing the problem, I’m doing one few at a time to find out what it is. This is going to take a while, I need to get the add-on I support working with all the changes first.
Almost all the addons are toast. They changed it all over to the edit mode style of UI from Retail and TBC and not the older way that was all of MOP.
Going through my personal addons I found that TellMeWhen and PartyPetFrames caused the error for me. Deleting these 2 in the PTR addons folder let me access the login screen.
Someone posted on discord WoWUIDev the following, having a comment at the top of a .toc file on MOP PTR crashes the game client. The first non-blank line has to be any ## directive. If it’s a # comment, you get an instant ACCESS_VIOLATION crash. This fits with the PartyPetFrames add-on .toc file, I don’t have the TellMeWhen add-on.
