Error WOW51900319

Hi all,

I’m experiencing continuous disconnects with error WOW51900319, and I’ve exhausted all standard solutions. Here’s everything I’ve already attempted:

  • Restarted modem/router multiple times.
  • Flushed DNS, renewed IP.
  • Disabled IPv6 in network settings.
  • Updated network and graphics drivers.
  • Temporarily disabled antivirus/firewall.
  • Tried both Ethernet (my usual setup) and Wi-Fi connections.
  • Cleared WoW cache, WTF, and Interface folders.
  • Ran WoW repair tool via Battle.net.
  • Completely reinstalled the game.
  • Reset Windows 11.
  • Adjusted graphics settings, including FPS limits.
  • Ran the game as administrator.
  • Tested on multiple devices (issue persists across them).
  • Tried another router besides the one Google fiber provides.

I’m on Google Fiber 3Gb. I also have PingPlotter and WinMTR logs available to share. I contacted their support, but they say everything looks good on their end. To be fair, it looks like only WoW drops connection while everything else stays up.

At this point, I’m out of ideas. If anyone knows how to fix it or what the problem is in the first place, I’d really appreciate the help!

Thanks!

Same issue here. Happing on Tich realm for me mostly, 7 toons basically unplayable, and sometimes I’ll Illidan as well. All other realms I’m on work without issue. Put in a ticket and was basically told theirs nothing they can do. This started on April 1st patch. No issues prior for 15+ years.

The WinMTR reports - which may not be to the right IP address any more - shows packet loss on the first hop with continues at some level throughout the run. Whatever this is looks to start at your home network.

You mention you are normally on ethernet, have you tried a new cable?

Local hardware is not the issue. Can play all my other 10+ toons on different realms without issue. There is an issue somewhere along the jump that’s causing DC on certain servers.

I’m just going off your reports.

Are those servers in the same version of the game and the same data centers?

What region of the country are you in?

Have you done a ui reset to confirm that there isn’t an addon issue with that one character?

I’m in NY. All other toons and all other servers that I’m on are playable without this random disconnect error. I’m on game as we speak, on my Tich toons, DCC ever few minutes. On any other toon, smooth sailing.

That was my log (I created the post). I did try another cable, another router, and another pc. I talked to google fiber support, and they say everything looks good on their end. I am not an expert, but I see they say that it might be normal for the first hop to have some packet loss as it might be configured to ignore that type of pings.

I got the two ip using resource monitor and looking at the ports wow uses.

Answering your questions:

  1. yes
  2. I am in Tennesse, usa, playing on Sargeras
  3. yes

Tichondrius is hosted in Las Vegas; you didn’t mention where the others are. Are they on Chicago realms? If so, you may be experiencing the effects of traversing all the flooded and potentially overloaded nodes in the middle of America to connect to Las Vegas from NY.

Possibly. I have characters on Bleeding Hollow, Sargeras, Area 52, Burning Blade and Kel’Thuzad. No issues. I also randomly created test characters on thrall, mal’ganis and stormrage, again, no issues.

But I have issues on Tich and Illidan

Side note, most of my mains are on Tich. So to transfer all 7 off there would be costly.

Those are all Chicago.

Well, Tich is LV and Illidan is Chicago.

No one is suggesting you do that. At the same time, Blizzard doesn’t control the weather or networks between you and Las Vegas, so you may just need to wait while that issue resolves.

I thought only LA and Chicago data centers were left? Also, yes I found Illidan issues to be odd as minimal hops.

Los Angeles servers were relocated to Las Vegas over a year ago. Might be two years now… can’t recall the specific date.

Wow I was unaware, appreciate that info. I actually just logged into my 70 warrior alt just now, instant dc. Logged back in and running around, let’s see how long this last.

Hi All,
I also been having the same disconnect issue, since the April 1st Patch. I have never had this problem before. It should be noted that I also suspect that it is a realm issue. As the disconnects happen on my Illidan Server, and never on my toons on Sargeras.

I live in California and i cant even get on tich without all the disconnects. I can play cata classic and anniversary no problems but i cant log into retail without the WOW51900319

I’m not sure what you’re pointing out here. All versions of WoW share the same server locations in North America (Chicago and Las Vegas). If only the Retail client is experiencing issues, then there is a local problem (on the computer) with the client, or with modifications made to the client.

If you look at the forums, you see a pattern. Several people reporting frequent WOW51900319 (Disconnect) errors, for the High Pop Servers (Tich, Illidan, etc.). I am suffering from that issue for my Illidan characters. However, I don’t seem to have the same issue for Sargeras. This is for retail version.

I understand people are reporting a disconnection, but Illidan server isn’t having any downtime. All my mains are there and none of my guildies or friends on the server are running into this.

Are you on one of the smaller ISPs that is still waiting to fix their routing tables?

So I’ve been having the same disconnect issues (disconnecting every 10-30 minutes) since Tuesday, April 8th and I’ve tried all the solutions listed in the original post and even a handful more. All of my characters are on Illidan and all of them disconnect without fail. I also tested Classic WoW and was disconnecting there as well, so I didn’t even think to try another server on retail because it seemed like the issue was something else.

But, when I made a new character on Thrall, I was able to stay logged in with no disconnecting, so test another server if you haven’t already. After a week of testing and waiting for next reset to come around (in case it would randomly fix it), I just decided to transfer my character.

I’ll come back if I start disconnecting again, but so far it hasn’t happened a single time on Thrall.
