Error creating desktop shortcut

I am trying to create a desktop shortcut for World of Warcraft but the launcher is giving the following error (I will translate to english since my native language is different):

“Ops! It seems like something is broken. You can try to restart Battle.net” No further information is given.

I am using the settings menu next to the Play button to create the shortcut.

I am already running the application with Administrative privileges.

Hi Magonha

I would try reinstalling the Bnet app.

Step 5 must be completed - delete the Battle.net folder

Hello Tratt, unfortunately it didn’t work.

Let’s set Battle.net to run as administrator. Right click on the Bnet desktop icon. Select Properties then select the Compatibility tab. Look on menu list for “Run this Program as an Administrator”. Place a check in the box beside that line.

Restart Bnet then try again.

You could also try sending the shortcut directly from the Wow folder itself. Select Retail or Classic then look for the Launcher - send that to desktop.
