I get this Message when I try to log into classic wow to create a character and t tells me Active game tie is required when I play retail just fine. I know for a fact I have a subscription because it was just charged again!

Howdy!
If you have multiple accounts make sure the active account is selected on the Blizzard app then select the World of Warcraft Classic version.

This so-called “solution” is utter incoherent nonsense and does not work.

To add more detail to the process:
I logged in manually from the game screen, selected the acount that should be active and then attempted and had a successful log in.
If I used the launcher WITH the correct (active) account it kept going to the log in error and description detailed in original post.
