Since the update this error keeps occurring every time once I select a character from the character selection screen and hit enter world.
I have all addons disabled and seem to be fully updated (although my computer is on the older end). This error occurs no matter what toon I am selecting.
I have never seen this error until the togc update.
This happens in both full screen or windowed mode.
Same issue. This has to be blizzard related. My PC is a week old so I really dont want to hear I’m having hardware issues. I just did a google search over the last 24 hours and there seems to be a lot of people having this issue.
Deleted all addons… Reinstalled windows… Did all the basic steps and I continue to get the same error.
I’ve had some access violations happen in a couple other games lately on Windows 11, but it was when I was running an overlay with the game (RTSS for stats). Disabling them made the problem go away and stay away. So you might want to check that angle as well by closing/disabling every single program that has an overlay to it. Even all the major mouse and keyboard softwares seem to have them now.
Obviously, I’d try scratching off the driver side of things from the checklist first and also make sure your Windows is 100% up to date. Both Windows 10 and 11 should be on 22H2.
Did the AMD driver upgrade on my R7 200 series card, still getting the access violation.
Yes this is an old PC (Win8.1).
At this point I’ve done clean reinstalls. Wrath Classic and Hardcore PTR both have this issue, but Wow Classic Era is fine… Pretty sure there is something new in the code since CE hasn’t updated in a while…
