I get an error #132 every time I try to purchase something in game.
I’ve been trying for days to fix it so I can actually purchase things in-game (Since, you know, IT’S THE ONLY WAY TO PURCHASE WOW SERVICES NOW.)
I could rant for days on how flippin dumb it is to not let me pay for things directly from the website. I had zero issues when i could character xfer or faction change from the website, now that you’ve made it so I can’t I have just threw money away on a Blizzard Balance that I can’t use.
Here’s the the not so useful list I’ve gone through to try and fix it myself.
-
Try closing background applications to resolve any software conflicts.
-
Reset your user interface to make sure your files and addons are not corrupted.
-
Run the repair tool to repair any damaged game files.
-
Run ScanDisk and defragment your hard drive to try to repair any bad sectors.
Note: Do not defragment a Solid State Drive (SSD).
-
Run a security scan to remove any viruses or malware infections.
-
Update your drivers to resolve any compatibility issues.
Tried it all a thousand times. Nothing works for me.
Now I will be the first one to admit that my computer is a Frankenstein of a machine that my friend built for me & it’s janky as all heck. However, it’s the computer I’ve been using for years and I have NEVER had any issues. Not until you people at Blizzard took away my options for purchasing & forced me to purchase in-game. There are always a hundred reasons to quite playing Blizzard games but I think this is the one that will do it for me.
Please post the complete error. It should be located in the errors folder inside your game folder . Open it with notepad select all copy and paste to this thread.
132 is a generic error. You get a 132 when the game does not know why it crashed
If it will not allow you to post it Then post it on pastebin.com just post the last section of the link see the highlight section below .

Someone else had this. Ran a search. Just remove the space since it wont let me do links
As stated a 132 error is a generic error. Since its only happening when he tries to use the store. and he has tried all of the fixes at that link, Need to take a look at the error to figure out what is the cause
Here is the last section of the link on pastebin…

I am getting the 132 error as well, but only when I’m past the character select screen and loading into the game. Now I can’t get in at all…

I get Error 132.
But its directly linked to having Anti-Aliasing turned on.

Mine is fixed. I just updated my video driver, restarted and im able to launch the game.
How do you update drivers?
Went to nvidia website, downloaded the latest driver.
I’m getting the same error. Literally just updated my drivers. I’m very stupid with computers I don’t know what else to do lol
The Error happens only if you are using MSAA for Anti-Aliasing. Change it to FXAA until micro patch is released to play. It has nothing to do with updating drivers for either card maker. Just change to FXAA.
I’ve reset my in-game settings via the Launcher, so there’s zero AA enabled, and I still am CTD at launch (note: I can’t get to character select). Unless resetting the in-game settings still enables AA? If that’s not the case, it can’t be just an AA issue.
I’m having same error after update, I play on a linux OS and game ran fine before. I have no addons, ive updated my video drivers and my system is up to date as well. I feel I may have to reinstall my entire OS just to get game to run again now if this scan and repair on the blizzardnet client does not work. I shouldn’t have to cringe every time there is a game update but I find myself doing it all the time with WoW.

anti-aliasing off and drivers updated\
has been happening when I hit a loading screen.
@Detainz
The chromium app is crashing. Have you blocked the chromium browser from accessing the internet?
things to try renaming the utils folder to utils.old and then run repair
Granted, I’m running this on Linux, it did work until this new update.
Tried launching with -d3d11Legacy, tried using my Config.wtf to set gxApi to “D3D11”, “D3D12”, and “D3D11Legacy”. Updated my graphics card driver, deleted my WoW cache, erased my config, uninstalled WoW and currently reinstalling.
On the tiny chance you’d support my goofy system. It does suck that I’ve lost a month of game time to unrelated reasons and this update happened in my last week of time. Never buy more than a month at a time, kids.
MY Linux fix, after NO other fix worked (bad luck we had the same error code as the True Windows folk!) was… just to change my WINE mode from Windows 7 to Windows 8. There’s a Winecfg button in the UI if you’re using Lutris
