Error #132 Crashing

I’ve been crashing in WoW (and diablo 4) for quite some time, always Error #132 Fatal exception. I thought it had something to do with my RAM originally, because when i lowered my RAM speed in BIOS it improved a lot (i went from crashing fairly regularly in retail to very rarely crashing). In classic i continued to crash a lot, however, and recently with diablo 4 i would crash roughly every hour. The reason why i no longer think its my RAM is i just purchased new ram, also upgrading from 16 to 32gb, and im still crashing. Still Error 132. I’ve tried most (all?) of the solutions ive come across online (legacy11, renaming folders, deleting folders, clean install, scan/repair, driver updates, reinstalled addons etc.).

I do not crash in any other games besides WoW and D4. I play a ton of Dota 2, some pubg, ive played teamfight tactics, some POE, none of those games cause me to crash. Also the crash in D4 was “Fenris Error”, always.

Im going to post crash logs from two WoW crashes. If anyone who knows more about this stuff than me thinks posting something else would help just let me know.

Thanks for any help.

Hey there,

I took a look at the dxdiag and while the drivers look ok the system is experiencing a number of Bluescreen crashes.

4 of the 10 errors listed were this. There is info on that here:

3 errors involving LxssManager.dll missing

and 2 app hang errors one for WoW Classic and one for Dota 2

All of this points to a potentially larger system level issue. There could be some local conflicts on the system leading to these errors but once bluescreen crashes get involved that severely limits troubleshooting.

Try running your system in selective startup mode: https://battle.net/support/article/200483

Please run the scans listed in this Article: https://battle.net/support/article/000025946

This can help correct any HDD related issues on the system.

While not common, memory issues can cause trouble in game. Luckily there is an easy test that you can run to rule out such issues: https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/31356

This type of issue can be affected by OS level issues so to rule out any OS corruption lets run this test: https://battle.net/support/article/000226603

Create a new administrator account: https://battle.net/support/article/34550

Once the account is created, shut down the computer, wait 60 seconds, restart, log into the new profile and try the app/client.

If that doesn’t solve the issue, then I recommend submitting a ticket with an msinfo attached for further investigation. (instructions for collecting that msinfo report will be on the form.)

Click your name at the top right of this page, click support, click contact support. Please note they may not have any additional steps to provide but they can take a better look at your system there and make a determination on what to do next.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

I have not done selective startup or the admin account suggestions yet.

I have two SSD’s so i did not defrag them, I ScanDisk’d both of them, both came back with no errors.

I have not done the running memory test yet. I did do a non-extended version of that a few months ago and it came back fine, but ill run the extended version tonight probably.

I repaired the windows system files, it said there were some corrupt files and they were successfully repaired. The log is here: https://privatebin.net/?fd10dee61467d161#EpNDfC4W7eMSK9VTeXHhxC5KpSMV6rAdGquziU3BVpiY

I played for a few hours tonight, didn’t crash, but thats not long enough to conclude much.

Two other things i thought maybe worth mentioning. My FPS in 25-man raids seems too low for my computer specs. With low-med settings i’ll hover around 20fps for most of the fight, even with all addons turned off. I know my computer isnt great, but its not terrible. Also, my FPS in retail raids is a fair bit higher at not quite double (35-40). Secondly, youtube videos crash in google chrome for me a lot, always the same error message. I can’t recall the exact error but i’ll copy/paste it when i get one next (pretty certain it has something do with memory).

Edit: So i started the windows memory diagnostic test last night. After about 6 hours it was 14% done. That means the test is going to take a little under 2 full days (48 hours) to complete? I honestly dont know if i’ll ever be able to run the full test as its also my work computer. A quick google search shows that this seems quite a bit longer than i should expect it to take, any thoughts on this?

Edit 2: Just a follow up.

I was looking at my event viewer and i have TONS of “WHEA-Logger” events, all with an Event ID of 17. They look to have started about 4 months ago, and i get roughly 5-10 a day. The component is always either “PCI Express Legacy Root Point” or “PCI Express Root Port”.

Not sure if thats helpful.

Thanks.
