I’ve been playing WoW for a long time now, on a variety of systems, and yet since Shadowlands launched I have been getting -constant- Error #132 crashes, specifically this one.
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!
Program: C:\Games\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe
ProcessID: 12512
ThreadID: 8468
Exception: ACCESS_VIOLATION

The memory could not be “read”.
I have tried fresh installs, I’ve tried reinstalling my addons, For whatever reason WoW just spikes super high on CPU and GPU along with my RAM, then crashes. I only have this issue with WoW, everything else on my computer runs fine. Here are my specs.
CPU: I5 9600kf (Overclocked to 4.77 GHZ)
GPU: GTX 1660 Super
RAM: 64GBs of 3000 MHZ RAM (As you can see I have plenty)
WoW is installed on a 500GB M.2 Drive
Yes but with the proper motherboard it can handle more, And yes as far as I know I am
Anything in the MSInfo errors (after exporting it)?
Not that I have seen, when I check taskmanager I just see a Massive RAM usage spike that causes the crash
Well, there are always going to be some errors in that report. Not talking about the task manager.
How do I export the MSInfo?
- Press the Windows key, then type msinfo and press Enter.
- In the MSInfo window, click File > Export.
- Name the file “msinfo,” make sure it is text format, and click Save.
Open it and scroll to the bottom for the error section.
Ever since the 9.1 patch I keep getting the same error when I log onto my main character.
I tried the deleting all temporal wow folders (cache interface and wtf), I tried setting graphics on lowest possible, i tried the scan and repair.
I even tried logging in on 3 different computers (mine, my brother’s and my girlfriend’s).
All 3 computers get the same error when logging onto my paladin main.
Im hazarding a guess that’s one of the quests on the questlog that is broken, or maybe an item on the inventory or perhaps one of the follower mission tables missions that I had completed before logging in that’s broken but I cant solve it and customer support just copy pasted the regular thing and moved my character to orgrimmar, I feel like they didnt even read what I wrote.
I did try the self serive unstuck too and no chance, I was in Aszuna or however its called, then moved to durotar GY with the self service and now orgrimmar with the GM and it’s still an error on all of them.
I was doing legion table missions and shadowlands ones too. Idk, then had a bunch of raid quests for the skips on my log and such.
I was supposed to finish the balance of power questline today but yeah.
Here is hoping they fix this, I can log into any character but that one.

Running into the same issue as Hakkunannu, I can log in on alts, but every time I try to log in on my main I get an error 132: Fatal Exception. A buddy thinks it might be because I’m in Ardenweald, but if Hakkunannu got moved twice and still faces the same issue I’m at an absolute loss.
What kills me is the 3 different computer issues. This screams a server/build issue and not a computer thing. I updated graphics and the windows had a net framework update and this is still happening.
I have Intel and NVIDIA and my brother has AMD and AMD Graphics, so yeah, doesnt sound like a hardware thing. He doesnt even have addons and stuff because he doesnt play.
Same (also Jarnbraz, switched to a different character because I forgot that toon was even a thing) my main PC uses Nvidia, my laptop uses an Intel, I deleted my add on support (good by dbm, raiderio, cross RP and TRP), uninstalled and reintsalled on two different computers and still getting the same thing, and of course Blizz wants us to jump through 37 different hoops before opening a support ticket.
The ticket should only be requesting two diagnostic files from you.
Sometimes community members will look over the files, but you’d want to start a new thread instead of derailing the OP’s topic.

It’s less what you have to do once opening the ticket, it’s more about “Do these other things that are going to be detrimental to your enjoyment of the game (like deleting add-ons and add-on supporters) and try to get answers from other (unpaid) users of our product before we, the people you pay monthly for a service, look into it” is what I meant about “having to jump through 37 hoops before opening a support ticket.”
Understood, but the fee is just for access to the game license and updates. Troubleshooting is a courtesy service they provide (same as other gaming companies), so sometimes it does require effort on your part to resolve an issue that arises.
Since they have no hand in reviewing or developing the add-ons, it’s common for them to be the source of issues. Simply renaming the directories is all it takes to test without them. You can just change them back to the original names if the problem isn’t resolved with that step.
If you make a new thread with the diagnostics, I’m sure someone (maybe me) will take a look.

I think what you are saying is fine and fair, but it’s fair that since this game works as a service they also make sure it works for everyone. They cant just wash their hands and call it a day because it works for most and not some. Not to mention it’s kinda odd that without interference from having disabled all addons and cache it’s still just the one character that is broken.
In any case I have made a new thread as to not interfere with OP’s user case which seems to be different than ours.
The amount of combinations of hardware and software on each players machine makes this impossible. They design the game to work for the most common combinations, and make adjustments where they can to accommodate more people.

I have the same issue. This only impacts my main. I was able to log into all the other characters except for the main. I got this reply from support…
Ekield
Howdy
Technical Specialist Ekield here. =)
I understand that you were getting a crash on your Shaman Sippycups.
I tried logging into the character as well from our end and the crash occurred when logging in.
This tells me it’s an issue on their side.
I’ve reinstalled the client, game from fresh. no addon’s at all. same issue.
I changed the order of characters just now and was able to login. My main was in slot 1 and I moved it to slot 2
Not sure if there was a stealth fix or that was the issue.

Thanks for reporting back in case this helps someone else.
Hi everyone.
Just throwing my hat into the ring on this one. I’ve been completely unable to play Classic TBC for the last couple days.
I’ve done, well, everything customer service would suggest. I’ve removed (not just disabled, REMOVED the addons folder per the previous bluepost instruction) all my addons, reinstalled the game, updated graphics drivers and even gone so far as to now have now completely REINSTALLED Windows 10!
-
I left Memtest86 going for an entire day and completed 4/4 passes with zero errors.
-
I’ve run the game with every single app closed except the BattleNet App.
-
I even went as far as to buy a brand new SSD and do a fresh install of WoW on there. Just in case I had some sort of invisible data corruption.
-
Every single driver is up to date as of posting due to reinstalling Windows 10.
-
My system specifications are more than enough to run the game (Ryzen 7 2700x, RTX 2080 Ti and 32 gigs of memory)
I’ve still got a boatload of crash text files AND memory dumps on-hand, however I am unable to post links for…some reason?
The game is currently at the point where any kind of loading screen will cause a hard crash. I can literally teleport to Shattrath or any major city and the game will inevitably crash without fail.
If Customer Service would like, I can record videos of my game crashing in real time just trying to use portals or teleport somewhere.
This only started happening in the last couple days and only seems to impact WoW. I am at a complete loss as to what could be causing it, but I am completely unable to play the game at present.
I’ve got every single crash text file and accompanying memory dump file uploaded on my personal website. However I cannot post links, so I’m not sure how to go about providing the relevant information
