Error #132 (BREAKPOINT)

Hello,

Logged into World of Warcraft tonight and once I ported into Oribos I got the following error.

==============================================================================
World of Warcraft: Retail Build (build 40725)

Exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe
Command: “C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe” -launcherlogin -uid wow
Time: Oct 28, 2021 10:45:01.935 PM
User: arost
Computer: DESKTOP-R6JON3T

This application has encountered a critical error:

ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal exception!

Program: C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft_retail_\Wow.exe
ProcessID: 6916
ThreadID: 10316
Exception: 0x80000003 (BREAKPOINT) at 00007ff93471cdb6

I then logged in again and it appear to be resolved. Did not encounter any other crashes. Is there anything I can do to resolve this to avoid having my game crash in the future?

Thanks!

Sadly, this error doesn’t tell us much. If you wanna hit us with the DxDiag we can take a look.

Heya Xanlorash,

Thanks for reaching out. I checked the crash thread that was submitted to us from your IP and found the following in the assertion “nvwgf2umx.dll” which is basically just part of the Nvidia drivers interactions with the game.

My advice would be to try using DDU to uninstall the drivers then reinstall a fresh set from the Nvidia website. This should fix such a crash in most cases. Though as Elocin suggests we would need a DxDiag if the problem persists beyond the above.

Here are the instructions:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
  4. Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  5. Once you have that made, open the file. You’ll need to copy and paste the contents of the Text document into the post, and put four Tilde (~) marks above the DXDiag. It’ll look like this:
DXDiag goes here

If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).
