[ERA] Tracking Bug

In Classic Era the Tracking icon on the mini map is extremely slow to update to whatever you’re tracking. Whether it’s Find Herbs, Find Minerals, or Hunter tracking. If you switch between them it will still display the icon for the previous thing you were tracking but if you hover over the icon it will show the new tracking is working and after a period of time the icon will update to reflect the change. Or if you click the icon on the mini map to turn off tracking completely the icon will stay there for a while before it disappears. This all used to be instant, no delay whatsoever.

This all happened during a patch like two or so weeks ago, possibly when phase 2 of SoD was released, and hasn’t been fixed, so I figured I’d make a post.

I’m having this same issue.

I had this problem today, however for some time it showed no button on the mini map. After a few minutes it came back, but still continues to be quite slow to to toggle.

Thanks for confirming that others have this issue as well. I don’t think Blizz cares enough to fix it though.

I know it’s not a priority type bug, but would be nice if they’d confirm that they are aware of it. Feels like nobody’s home at Blizz

I am also experiencing the same problem as of today. I figured out the tracking icon on the minimap becomes updated to reflect the accurate tracking icon whenever there is a change to my character’s buffs. For example: I’m playing a Dwarf Paladin with the mining profession. Whenever I toggle between Find Treasure and Find Minerals, my tracking icon does not update until one of my buffs change. I used Seal of Righteousness and my tracking icon gets updated to reflect the correct icon. Then, if I switch what I’ tracking, the tracking icon doesn’t get updated until Seal of Righteousness wears off, thus updating my current active buffs. It’s weird.
