Blizzard please separate the forums, I miss having discussions about era.
The more I read these SoD posts the less I want to try it.

My turn for a necro but I figured it was more appropriate to post here as opposed to making a new thread.
The launch of Cata brings another wave of folks posting in the wrong place, not realizing there’s a Cata specific section.
Please give us an Era forum to hang out in.

This is the era forum. There is a SoD forum and a Cataclysm forum.
I know this, you know this, but pretty much everybody coming to this forum for the first time seems to not know this. It’s easier for us to change.
I try to kindly direct posters to the other forums when I see this but it will probably continue to happen.

It’s not even their fault… this is just “Classic General” which I could see why someone into Cata Classic would assume to go to. We need the name to have Era in it, And we need all other versions to have their own forum like they did with WotlK and now Cata (https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/wow-classic/cataclysm-classic-discussion/254). I know it’s an era forum and I know the stickies are all era. Just saying I can understand why someone may stumble into here without realizing it’s era. Fix the name Blizzard (please?)

Just like live/retail has a General Discussion forum this is for all things Classic.
Not against a specific Era forum but won’t be surprised to never see one.
I don’t believe it will see as much traffic as the others (the HC one is pretty darn quiet).
Unless there’s another substantial PVP adjustment that includes Era.

This one doesn’t see much traffic and is pretty darn quiet… right up until Blizzard launches a new version/flavour of Classic and then it tends to pop off. So we have to direct people to the appropriate forum.
It’s not the end of the world here or anything, it’s just minor inconvenience coupled with a confusing experience for non-Era players. All it takes is another sub-forum to alleviate that. That’s pretty easy to do so unless Blizzard has somehow reinvented the wheel here and made making a new forum extremely complicated, just click the dang button!
