Era is dead

They have not indicated transfers to Era or cloning before fresh tbc. And hardcore fresh transfers to PvE fresh, not era. There is no promise.

era is in the emerald dream, you might say :expressionless:

They haven’t outright or explicitly stated so, but I would argue there is little reason to believe that it’s not a serious possibility, given it is an opportunity for them to make money and there are plenty of “no copy regrets” out there who are looking to make good on their 2nd chance.

A lot of people just don’t care for TBC and beyond, so the idea that Blizz will simply “miss” all that potential revenue when they’ve already done it before the last time around seems a bit of a stretch.

Blizzard could do anything they want ofc, but personally I’d really hope that’s where it goes.

if it works like it did before, and there’s no reason to think it won’t, it’s 100% free to copy a character to era or TBC. the only time you have to pay is if you want both, which I doubt most people wanna do these days :expressionless:

I’ve been around this block a few times, sorry but no. I really do hope those who enjoy the xpacs have a lot of fun.

I hope so too.

They did not as far as I’m aware. People are just assuming. It seems like a reasonable assumption.

Welcome to the FREEEESHHHHH phenomena.

All Era servers that were medium and high before are still the same. That were on low pop are still showing low pop. You people love to create imaginary scenarios to cry on forums.

3 to 6 months.

Population is not really dead, just low right now, this will last 2 to 5 weeks.

On both factions? Because I recently logged into Firemaw on EU, and all layers on the server were full. It’s possible that the realm you checked is monofactional, and you were looking at the auction house of the dead faction. It uses the old auction house model, not like the one in retail that you’re probably used to.

why are you telling us this? do you think anyone was wondering if you were going to play right now or not?

Era is a cat with multiple lives. It dies for a while, but it always finds ways to come back.

thats an easy question, not everyone wants to invest a lot of time farming consumes every week to raid. Many of us are adults and classic era gdkps makes things super convenient to hop on a gdkp get paid and buy consumes to raid naxx. I love fresh but i know i wont have the time or the patience to farm for gold/consumes in the future and that is why many of us still play era.

I looked at Hydraxian Waterlords - the maltreated and thus deserted - RP server.
The 48 players were 43 Ally, 3 Hordies. Auctions 8 Allyside, 2 Hordeside.
And it showed Medium pop in the list - today it again shows Low, which is totally correct.

The intention of my post was to show that you could not trust the population levels that day.
Not to tell Era is dead, which it most assuredly is not. In the PvP cluster there’s more than 10000 Auctions on each side and only one 10-level bracket (Horde 31-40) showing blow 50+ players. I did not check the PvP clusters, as this would require me to roll characters there and run them to the capital
