Mir’s enthralling grasp dropped for me while farming for green boe’s, but for my paladin carry toon.
Got really happy as
A: these gloves are SICK
B: they were bind on equip
anyway saw my pally could equip them, didn’t realize that just cus i can wear it won’t mean itll unlock.
the real kicker, again, bind on equip. and i actually have a warlock. 
would have loved to send it in the mail but ope. soulbound now.
I know nothing can be done. and it was implemented so people don’t take things they literally dont need but man.
i feel both Rolled for being uninformed as i do just dissapointed in myself.

You can put in a ticket to get them unbound, but the chances of it happening are pretty low I think.
I agree, transmog restrictions are complete and utter trash that need to go the way of the horse and buggy.
Like i can really get it, dont get me wrong. There is surely a place for protections in say LFR. so im more insentivised to trade gear for people who need it. But dude…i was farming for 8 hours Solo 
i just wanted some cool gloves.
I enjoy the tooltip when equipping Boe’s to make sure i really wanna soulbind it. I just feel i was not giving the info i needed for as big a decision as it were. all in all just an oof.
If the tooltip doesn’t say “You haven’t collected this appearance” then it can’t be learned for transmog. That’s the only indication you’ll get in-game sadly.

ehhh but you were really. theres a tooltip that says “You haven’t collected this appearance” if you are eligible and dont have it already. no tooltip, no mog. so yeah, everything was already there.
EDIT: i forgot the actual wording.
perhaps its an addon, but currently the gloves actually do say in blue text
“you haven’t collected this appearance”
or maybe im misunderstanding what you’re saying.
- edit - Disabled all addons and it still says “you haven’t collected this appearance”
sounds like an addon. as i dont think its in blue, but i could be wrong, i havent played retail in a long time. it should only show up for that characters armor type, and class if class specific, and if you havent collected it.
do you have a tmog addon? that might be your problem there.

i dont know what to tell ya. i have never had that happen to me. ive always had to mail boe’s to a character of that armor type and look for the ones with the tooltip and send the rest to a character to DE. this character was my main old raid farmer and only plate gear and cloaks would show me the tooltip.
