I haven’t found an addon to help manage gear sets. Anyone know of one that works within classic?
I think I used wardrobe or outfitter back in vanilla (as a PVPing, Raiding Feral druid I had like 8 combinations of gear depending on the given encounter/roll).
Thanks!
I loved the ones that would automatically change your gear for you for things like resist bosses.
This can be accomplished with a macro, no?
Not sure, the one o am thinking of, you would put on the gear and set a save, then you could swap between saves and change your outfit for you.
Go play ReTaIL!!! zomg111111!
Sorry, thought we were supposed to say that to every new thread. I am sure something will be out soon.

Modern WoW does have a built-in equipment manager. I wouldn’t mind it in Classic, because I don’t feel that it’d be a game-breaker.
But if we’re getting “1.12 on the modern API” this kind of thing is not impossible at all.

Weren’t the number of character specific macro’s limited in Vanilla/TBC? I remember at some point I started using an addon for about half my equipment options.
wardrobe was an addon that did that
macros work but are really annotying and
Yeah I had that addon in Vanilla. I think it was indeed Wardrobe.
Oh yeah, macros can do that. One button can equip an entire set.
/equip
Sure, macros can do it but it’s much better (IMO) to manage your sets with an addon like the one I had in Vanilla (will before blizzard added the feature to the character UI).
Hopefully we see one soon. Keeping manually-keyed macros up to date for a Hyrbid Druid while running dungeons /BGs, gearing up (for PVP/PVE, tank/heal/dps roles + resist sets) will be a royal pain.

You literally have one button dedicated to equipping an entire set. But okay. Just don’t be too incredibly disappointed if the addon doesn’t make it for classic.
Macros have a limit of 255 characters which is not longer enough to use with every equipment slot.
/eq is an abbreviation for /equip if you need to save macro space.

For anyone wondering like I was if any of these equipment addons worked, ItemRack works.
Wardrobe is available on twitch

I have to shut it off to enter a BG. That is annoying to reload twice.
There was an add-on in vanilla but I can’t remember the name.
Blizzard only copied the add-on for the default UI
