just let us get honor in any bg for the weekly quest. those who like to play epic bgs can get honor that way and the smart people can play the better bgs.

Man and I did like 5-6 epic bgs yesterday and Im at like 500ish in total. Eventhough at the end of a losing match it says I gained 200+ honor.
If I remember it correctly I get 430 during the match + 500 for winning, in the end the scoreboard shows 930… My quest log is also showing 930/1500.
I just find it hilarious that there isn’t even pvp in alterac valley anymore. Apparently horde and alliance have a handshake agreement to just wave at each other as they run straight to the final boss and Zerg him down.

they bring that back as an event, which they did i think this summer, with a mount reward for grinding it.
I think the content makes much more sense in classic wow than it does in retail.
From my experience, this is sadly true. Every time I have done one it is a race to the end, get the two towers, graveyard, then poof, we win if we are quick enough. So far have yet to fail this way. Not that I am complaining though, get the daily out of the way and on to the other battlegrounds, if I want to that is.
Nah the epic bgs are epic. I am capped at 15,000 honor, mostly because I stealth and backcap the towers in AV, giving our team the time to kill Drek. 10 AV wins in a row.

the bonus xp at the end of the match doesnt count, just the honor you earn during the game itself. with a WG win, i got close to 600 honor. Trashran, i dunno, cuz it sucks so i take the debuff, IoC, even with a win i think i only got like 250 towards the quest.
i was lucky the other day and got like 4 WG matchs and had the weekly done that day. if WG keeps popping, ill keep queing! great honor and its way more fun than anything else.
Ah man, I had such a different experience WG I run around like a chicken without head cause I have no clue what to do. Ashran I found enjoyable this one guy kepyt shouting about ppl needing to focus on objective but didnt say when I asked what the objective is so everyone was just death matching it and we were real close to winning too.
AV I also went wrong cause apparently rush to Galv/Drek is a thing again.
They aren’t great, and the fact that most players don’t know what’s going on in there and Blizz seems indifferent about it only makes matters worse. They’re a big dumb luck game of which side has the most players who know which 3 out of 15 things need to be done asap, and how to do them.
I agree that the quest should be changed to all forms of honor gain. Last week it was random BGs, which are heavily dominated by Alliance premades, so it was nice to have epic this week.
I don’t see why Blizzard can’t just let all honor count, and let us pick what we want to play.

WG is kinda lopsided in that whoever is defending has the advantage. I did get a win as an attacker too once. you want to get your rank up and jump in a demo and just fire bomb the opposing zerg. if on offense, grab a demo and roll with all the other vehicles and attack the same wall. the rest is killing and capping the workshops. more workshops, the more vehicles you can have.
I had a rather different experience last night on my Warrior, but then I elected to join the group back-capping and harrying the Horde’s crumbling advance.
Wintergrasp will give you about 900, zero effort in 1 game
Tol Barad has a weekly that give you 1000 for collecting 50 fragments off the PvE mobs
IoC and AV are best /afk’d out
Here we are, ladies and gentlemen. We have discovered the existence of an alternate universe, string theory was correct.
That’s due to deficiencies in map design. If the bosses were unattackable until some number of towers/bunkers were destroyed (doesn’t even necessarily have to be all of them), that alone would go a long, long way.
The more involved fix would be for Horde and Alliance to swap bases randomly (nullifying advantages specific to one side of the map or the other) and giving the BG 3 or so “stages” that are unlocked by achieving certain objectives so trying skip through is fruitless.

There’s only like 3 good battlegrounds in total. It’s not just the epic ones that are bad.
