Epic Battlegrounds ARE competitive

Just say you’re bad at pvp and leave it at that.

Have you sat in q for SS or blitz? I don’t have time for that.

1,000’s of epics done.
Doesn’t have time.

You have clearly tried. And failed.

The queues were too long and I got bored. I have other things to do. Including making alliance angry.

Ugh, I live in a walkable city with a comprehensive public transportation system, so I’ve never had a DUI! That explains a lot!

Played a really fun one today. But have fun rushing or otherwise playing with poor players.

All the epic battlegrounds I played recently had good players. None were a queue sync premade.
PUGs don’t mean bad players.

My comment was mostly to the OP. But I’m glad to hear that. When I solo, most games are not pug vs. premade and seem to come down to which team is more powered or has more intelligent players.

[edit]
Wanted to add, those games (pug vs. pug) are low quality. Zug-zug wins or boring, useless losses. Based entirely on luck with teammates. That’s what pug vs. pug games are in this age of wow. Since people seem to want that all you have to do is queue up.

I would play epics if it was fair and balanced. That means removing the filthy Que synch scumbags.
But it’s not competitive nor is it designed to be. It’s carebear PvP for beginners to learn and can be a lot of fun, at least it used to be.

Play non rated random bgs for light competition or rated bgs for actual competitive PvP.

Que synchers trying to make what they do more than it actually is. Epic bgs are the kiddie pool of all PvP

Chatgpt has gained 4 honor levels since January of this year. Truly the pvper this game deserves.

I don’t know about that. 3 of the 4 epics I did that day were really good. Seemed like people were playing well on both sides, using different strategies, etc. Those matches were a lot of fun. I felt like my actions and those of my teammates had a noticeable contribution to winning the ones that we did.

The Wintergrasp that I suspect was a PUG vs premade, neither side used any strategy. The Horde just won the SR fight and used a single wave of demos to take down both walls and then the main entrance before we could kill them. We didn’t get enough kills to even build catapults until the second wall was already almost down, and literally I just had enough time to get to our base in my cata to see them breach the main entrance.

So in my recent experience premade matches were boring while PUG vs PUG matches can be a lot of fun and interesting and nobody knew how the game was going to end.

How are people going to improve if they aren’t doing content that challenges them?

Just an off topic question, but when we play BG’s, does the game consist of players from all the servers available, or is it from selective servers of regions?

It used to be from one server where we would que up for hours and hours for one game of WSG.
Now I see there are players from many servers, and sometimes I see Chinese language in raid chat.
I’m not sure.

It’s just that it would be good to know if we all may see each other in the games together.

It’s region wide. So everyone in NA sees each other.

The reality, is none of these things really matter. They are… quality of life kind of items. Making things better.

The only thing you need, is competence and teamwork. Knowing your class and spec is #1. Being able to carry your weight is very important. So many ebgs and bgs I see players that are abysmally low on dps or heals. Some of us have been playing for a very long time, so things come natural due to experience, but its painfully obvious when you see players that simply are not prepared.

Teamwork is above all really. It is a force multiplier. Remember, teamwork is key.
