I’m curious to see what AddOns others use for Epic BGs.

My list:

  • Capping (shows objective capture timers).

REPorter:

this will give you a better map than the in game or minimap
i have mine configured so that i see who is in combat, who is dying, and where healers are at all times.

RETabbinder:

binds tab key to target the nearest player instead of the nearest target, this is useful for targeting players in a sea of pets. the addon swaps to target player when you enter a bg, then returns it to normal when you leave.

you already listed capping, but capping:
you can call out timers faster with capping than REPorter, so you do want both even though REPorter has all the functionality of Capping.

BGE/BGT:
you need an addon for seeing the enemy team, either battleground targets 2, which i try to keep updated and mostly working or battleground enemies which you can get from curse/twitch.

Diminish
i would suggest the addon Diminish so you aren’t wasting your cc on a immune target in large team fights, it puts a icon over their nameplate showing DR of type and how long is left on it.

Saysapped:
auto says you are sapped when sapped, everyone should have this, (though you will still die to the rogues because your teammate is alt-tabbed)

WeizPVP:
this addon is basically SPY with a few extras, namely a giant impossible to miss cross-hair that tracks your target, I find this to be absolutely invaluable for visually tracking targets in huge furball team fights. and the wpvp spyscan aspect is the icing and cherry on top.

Cursortrail:
useful for tracking your mouse cursor in large teamfights if you use mouseover macros

HHTD:
healers still need to be killed in epics

Details:
you can’t get good at damage output if you don’t see where you are first.

Thank you Inemia, and Pípíkaula for the AddOns suggestions. I will definitely check these out.

So far I have installed Diminish, and Cursortrail. Those two will definitely help right away.

These are the only 2 I use personally:

  • Capping
  • Plater (must-have/mandatory for big teamfights imo)

Plater is just invaluable; see a GPyro casting off in the corner of my eye? See a Chaos Bolt winding up on me from the distance? See a Greater Heal casting? The list goes on and on, it’s probably saved my life a bunch of times lol

Wait, you can set it to show a huge icon when they’re casting only specific spells?

Also thanks for telling me about WeizPvP and SaySapped, my old SaySapped broke. Does anyone know of a SaySapped for Touch of Karma?

What I want, what I really really want, is a healthbar addon that works the same for arenas, battlegrounds, and party/raid frames.

  • BGEnemeies can’t be used in arenas or world pvp.

  • VuhDo doesn’t work for enemy arena frames.

  • SArena doesn’t work for battleground enemies or raid frames.

I want all three addons combined into one so bad.
