Entry level for M0?

Was wondering with the new Ilvl going on, what you think it should be?

I recently tried a M0 but the dmg just wasnt enough, leading to calling it quits on the first boss after multiple attempts.

My current guess would be 620+ if not higher.

Good rule of thumb is usually 10-15 ilvl lower than end of run drops. M0 drops 636, so like 620-625ish. If you’re a skilled player, you can do it much lower. Or if someone is overgeared and smashing it etc.

I recommend doing heroic dungeons for a few reasons
(1) The drops are 619 ilvl and that is perfect for starting M0
(2) You will learn many of the mechanics since they are the same dungeons as M0 and M+

Really varies from person to person… if you know your rotation decently well and use utilities like interupts… 600-610 should be good enough

Tbf, my tank is 630, while i messed up the first attempt due to no knowing the tank role proper, the rest of the attempts were largely lack of dmg.

Besides, M usually introduces a variation of the mechanic and makes them harder.

For example, darkflame is kind of a weird dungeon and doing that on heroic gave me the understanding of how the cart moves, how to do bosses 2 and 3, the light mechanic, but you are right that some mechanics are missing. I believe the heroic run made doing that one on mythic+ easier for me because there was just a lot that a guide wouldn’t get me comfortable with.

If the group knows the new dungeon pool and the mechanics then you can get away with ~610 probably.

Realistically most people haven’t had enough runs in to familiarize themselves yet, I’d say 625+ as a good rule of thumb if pugging M0 World Tour.

You should definitely be 80 before doing mythics

619 should be enough, but the issue I’m having is that ppl don’t know how to play their characters. All the sweats have raced ahead of me into higher keys while I’m still doing +2s with ppl who do 600k on trash.

Heroics drop 619 ilvl gear, and you can get some higher ilvl pieces from doing Undermine stuff, so ~620-625 is pretty reasonable for M0s.

I wouldn’t bring a tank below 626. In Cinderbrew I had a 616 Prot Warrior get 2 shot on the first trash pack, tried to blame me, then I turned around and cleared the dungeon after I got into a new one. I’m hovering around 636.

Honestly I wouldn’t bring 619 people to M0 unless you know they are pumpers. A lot of this stuff, if you don’t kill it and sit there and let it linger, you just die. They will spam mechanic after mechanic until you run out of CDs and you fall over.

This isn’t Cata/Wrath, you can’t heal without CDs anymore, most healers anyway. You also can’t heal giant giga F U beginning of the dungeon pulls without CDs, this includes people popping defensives.
I wish you could see what addons people use, I wouldn’t even take people who don’t use Weak Auras or LittleWigs, chances are they have no clue when to use defensives.

I think this is pretty close. Everyone has to know and do the mechanics and the healer must be able to pump a bit.
