Entropic Rift Visual Clutter

Entropic Rift as Discipline Priest becomes way too large and ends up covering smaller mobs and important ground mechanics.

With the changes to Penance, we cast it much more often and have access to Ultimate Penitence, which makes Entropic Rift grow up to 100% bigger because of Collapsing Void. This ability increases both the damage and size of the Rift by 10% each time Penance heals or damages. As a result, I find myself squinting throughout dungeons to try and see through the giant purple puddle, which hides swirls and many other mechanics. I have to avoid standing near mobs because I can’t see under the Rift, and it even covers some smaller enemies.

Can we please get an option to reduce the size or density of this ability? It’s the only issue I have with Discipline Priest this season, and it’s making Mythic+ runs less enjoyable. When another priest is in the group, their Entropic Rift is much smaller and isn’t so dense that it hides mobs under it. Maybe we could have an option to make our own Entropic Rift more like that too?

You can even test out how bad this is on the training dummies in Dornogal. If you create a Rift then cast Ultimate Penitence, the Rift is bigger than the area of the 5 clustered training dummies–around the size of an Efflorescence. It also covers up the bottom half of the training dummies, and if there were any swirls under them, those would also be hidden.

I want it to be at least 10x larger. A glyph for you, a glyph for me. Easy

I feel the same when I cast it. I had to stop to ask myself…I hope my allies can’t see this, but pretty sure they do.

Many of the new visual swirlies are very close to the Entropic color too.

Allies can see the rift but it’s much more translucent. If they just gave us the option to make it look like this for us, I’d be happy.
