No, you do not farm LFR for mounts. You want that up your game.
These mounts are, for the most part, unique and carry a sense of pride to them. Even if that pride is lost on the majority now because people look at the game like a loot pinata.

I personally enjoy the exclusive feeling of having something that only a small amount of the playerbase has.
For instance I take pride in my FoS for my “of the black harvest” where I got that title when it was current.
I enjoy having something that requires a challenge, and if that translates to a mount for this tier. So be it, I want the mount to be difficult to access and require some dedication to obtain. Otherwise you just trivialize most rewards if they are so easily obtainable.
Doing this would kill mount collectors and throw them in an uproar
The old gearing system was incredible. If you played the game you got gear, it wasn’t easily accessible, it wasn’t flawed, it was an rpg.
This is what should happen for sure! This requires you to either fork over gold to a guild to carry you, but it rewards you for being a dedicated player in the majority of scenarios

Ya I was never going to farm that mount until I was able to buy it for 100k. I feel bad for the ones that spent days trying to get that mount.
I don’t. The game isn’t fun, so I’m not playing. It has nothing to do with the virtual things that other people have that I don’t.

I resubbed to respond to a friend in another forum, we were trying to connect in FF14. I WAS able to post here after my sub ran out last time, but after I logged out and back in, and changed characters, it finally locked me out. Not sure if they fixed it or not. I guess I’ll find out in a month.

For one person. Would take about 25 weeks of reclears to give your roster the mount. Raid tiers are only roughly 20 weeks long. Most guilds don’t get CE until like week 12 and even then the second kill is never a guarantee.

As an LFR 4 Lyfe filthy casual, it would be nice to occasionally have a chance at a mount like this. But for the most part, they should be restricted to the real raiding levels. They do the real work, and should get better rewards for it.

I’ve got no issues with it, but I do think LFR mounts should be a different color than what the normal/heroic/mythic mounts are.
some do actually. i know some people that notice that type of thing, i’m oblivious to it. alls i see is hp bars and fire on the ground. cosmetics have never been all that important to me other than the pink dress my warlock wears.

I guess so. I’m assuming as long as you don’t log out or change characters it will still let you post, unless like I said, they’ve fixed it. You can still go through and upvote everything though, even if you can’t post. Doesn’t make much sense.

Except casuals have access to literally 99% of mounts. Look at the mount drops from this expansion so far. How many require anything a casual can’t get? 1. The Mythic Jaina mount. 1 out of what? 40 maybe? Throwing you 39 bones at your crowd while we only like 300 guilds are going to get the 1 bone left.

Time spent =/= effort put in
Just because some people spend 10 hours a day doing pet battles or world quests doesn’t mean they are entitled to the same things as someone who spends 5 hours doing content that takes 3 brain cells.
That entirely depends on your definition of Casual. I’d say the high level Arena mounts are casual proof. Heck a certain definition of casual would say Kua’fon. As easy as that is some people i shared the egg with 3 months ago still don’t have him.
