Entire patch is just a reskin

Does no one else have a problem that this entire patch we’ve been in is one giant reskin full of reskins? The main content of the patch literally has the word “revisited” in it. The “new” armor sets are reskins. the “new” mounts are reskins" reskins of weapons and other cosmetics. reskins pets. re using corruptions but now they’re enchants (wow its new!) this is just so weak

I just came back after a few month break to find myself already bored. I really hope Midnight is fun since I think I’m losing the mmorpg touch. Most the mmos on the market are not very fun either played em all. WvW was fun in Gw2 for like a month and Ff14 burnt me out on story after finishing Shadowbringer. I think mmos in general are just not able to keep up with peoples expectations and the industry as a whole has gotten lazy.

That’s not even including all the monetization’s etc which is reeking havoc on the gaming industry.

Back in the day in Wrath - MoP I just did wpvp now I feel organic wpvp is dead. No faction hubs etc with World Defense Alerts.

Just not the same for me anymore :frowning:

They’re not even reskins. They’re literally the Ny’alotha LFR skins.

Also why the LFR version…give us a different colour or…something. o_O

Its not a major content patch. Its just something on the side to do in a .5 patch.

its ok.

.5 patches are never known for their content. Its why its a .5 patch.

Was wondering why I had some of the appearances already, lmao.

I agree re the whole reskin thing, it occurred to me when I looked at the Heroic Visions content. Even the one thing I’d like atm (the Void Panther pattern for my JC) is just a reskin of the other MoP Panther patterns. At the very least they could created a separate Void JC mount to make that would have been unique but it feels like, I dunno, a bit cheap? The whole thing feels second hand, old content just ‘patched up’ like an old pair of jeans.

I don’t know if I’d even call it a reskin. It does provide some new rewards, but they didn’t even bother to make it about Xal instead of N’Zoth. I wish they had changed some things about it to fit the current story. But also it’s nice to do it with a friend in my group that hasn’t done them before.

Reskinning the visions to actually take place in the current expansion would have been way more effort.

Like Horiffic Visions Undermine, Dornogal and Mereldar. Same exact systems just in a new locations. That’s a reskin.

So far I have liked it. Not going to bother with the visions bit though. Didn’t like it first time around.

Will just keep collecting bits of armor for my alts.

As for the reskinned armor, it is rather nice looking. Sure the originals were nice but the black and white sets are great.

Nope. Because I’m pretty sure this was the answer to “you’d lose a raid tier or two” when they told us how much work goes into developing housing.

Now… if this continues into more expansions… then I’ll be concerned.

Hell, it straight up has the BfA 100k mount on the vendor, lol.

btw after watching the new Mr GM video i can confirm most of the new mounts for 11.7 are literal reskins/recolors. the chess board and banshee mount is new and both have 3 recolors of themselves. world of reskins sadly

Does no one else seem to understand that x.x.5/x.x.7 patches aren’t suppose to be major content?

I don’t get why this is lost on so many people

i understand .5 isn’t supposed to have new content but .7 also? so in both patches all we get are re skins of old mounts/cosmetics? if that’s okay with you then so be it but it isn’t with me and a lot of other players

Blizz did change the models ((a bit)) between the old and the new sets of armor. It’s not exactly a recolor, but it is lazy

But they are used to delay a major content patch. That is why ppl complain.

SL covid era levels of long seasons, but now laced with nothingburger patches.

Also I think Horrific Visions should have been reintroduced along with the BFA timewalking like Mage Tower was along with the Legion TW in SL 9.1.5.
That way everyone could have set their expectations accordingly.

They don’t “delay” the major content patchs. Major content patches have been on a six month schedule since the start of Dragonflight.

Yes, when blizzard saw that ppl were overall understanding with the SL cadence due to covid and the lawsuits, they deliberately made it the baseline for DF and onwards, despite nothing really warranting it anymore.

6 months are too long for a season and its especially true since m+ lost the affix rotation aspects. Seasons get stale even faster due to that.
