Entering follower dungeons while having bounty

So of course i know its pretty much became meta to enter follower dungeons in pvp combat. It Kind of makes getting bounty or going after bounty boring. So what if once you get bounty each kill you get rewards you 1 conquest point i would feel alot more ppl would just keep bounty at that point .

No offense, but I don’t think 1 conquest point a kill would make anyone stick around who wasn’t already going to. Conquest is trivial to cap and that would be an inefficient means of doing so.

The bounty system is just fundamentally flawed. There’s no incentive to remain a bounty, and every incentive to relog and get rid of it, both because your movement is so restricted and because you’re now the active target of an oncoming zerg. This is especially true for individuals who don’t have a group’s support.

The best course, in my opinion, would be to do two things:

(1) Monetary incentive via a repeatable quest similar to the title one, but rewards something like a Blood Stone after say 30 kills. (Maybe the kill count required increases with each quest repeat, from 10, to 30, to 50, to 100, etc.)

(2) A power-increase similar to the Assassin buff, which scales depending on your group size (e.g., if you’re solo, it’s stronger). I’d say any offensive buff should be modest so as to prevent 1-shot scenarios, while survivability & anti-CC duration should be more significant – at least when alone.

These examples in tandem would provide people both objective-based and fun-based incentive to stay a bounty, with individuals getting more of a fighting chance against a multitude of enemies.

I like that idea.

This is what needs to happen. You should become an absolute menace that requires everyone else teaming up to stop you. But it would make you WANT to get it so you could be that menace.

I’m always capped on Conquest. The bounty system is just the worst design in history and makes people want to turn Warmode off.

The bounty gets in the way of my questing, flying, mining and playing the game. Which it shouldn’t!!! Warmode isn’t just PvP, it’s doing everything with the addition of getting into PvP.

So I will always hearth or take a follower dungeon to wipe this atrocious toxic system because it gets in the way of PLAYING the game. You NEED to be able to fly, you NEED to be able to keep Questing, fighting Elites, mining etc.

Just remove the bounty system. I was flying on the way to a node got Bounty mid flight so I got dismounted and parachuted down into some weird spot. What an annoyance, I cancelled my Blitz Que, took a follower dungeon wiped the bounty. Came out then went to the objective I needed to get too and requed Blitz.

Bounty is in the way. Get rid of it please and thanks.

Recently I’ve started logging or Queing follower dungeons with the Assassin buff to prevent it switching to bounty. Stop ruining WPvP and open world content with this terrible bounty system.

That’s another thing that’s dumb about it. If you’re one of the only ones in the zone you’ll get bounty on you, even if you’re not fighting anybody.

You should have to earn bounty through X amount of kills or something.

I don’t want the bounty system gone though, but fixed.

And I think it should apply to my old zones as well.

Warmode needs bounty fixed, and more things like it to make it tempting for people to turn on.

Got forced on us and then left to die.

Yea it’s actually stupid. I’m flying and now I’m parachuted down into some death trap when I wasn’t even in the middle of battle no thanks. Or I’m in the middle of some complex Quest and bam Bounty. It’s really toxic and annoying.

The bounty system doesn’t make people turn Warmode on but turn Warmode off. Fixing it won’t make people turn Warmode on. So we have to ask the question should we even have it? I can’t think of any reason. It’s bad.

Imbalanced shards is what makes people turn War Mode off, not the bounty system. Realistically, if someone wanted to avoid bounty, they could kill their character whenever they got Assassin.

Getting rid of it wouldn’t make people turn on War Mode either. Fixing it atleast makes the bounty experience more enjoyable.

yeah and when they do and you’re in danger, you find a way to phase.

this is just so people can go seal clubbing

wpvp used to be great and we didn’t have all these gimmicks

Well until you can convince them to bring back pvp realms, and to end cross realms/phasing, here we are.

Just trying to find solutions with how it is, and probably always will be from now on.

at least you got a kek story out of it :woman_shrugging:

I never claimed it did. But getting rid of it when it is one of the things that differentiates it from non warmode aint the answer either.

It needs to be reworked so it becomes something you want to do, that you not only want to kill bounties, but want to BE and hold the bounty as well. Perks/Rewards etc. All doable, Blizz just lazy and hates us.

Nah PvP servers never needed bounties. Warmode doesn’t either. It’s a terrible toxic system that makes the game as a whole worse.

Disagree. Just get rid of it. Until then I’m not going to participate in it and will just wipe the bounty off me.

when they removed pvp realms and introduced the warmode toggle, they did not take into account that knowing the person you were fighting was a big part of it. making a name for yourself as well. you had gankers before, raid leaders, people who hunted the hunters, etc.

now you have groups going for solo players, and when that player makes a raid to get revenge, they either fly away or phase away.

frankly there’s no juice left in it, and a bounty overhaul will not bring it back.
you can increase participation if that is your concern, the greater the rewards, the more people will participate.
it doesn’t mean it’s going to be good though.

PvP servers never needed bounties because PvP servers had years of a population built up and plenty of targets to go around. A low level player couldn’t simply just toggle off of a PvP server if they were getting ganked and many people who were there for whatever reason didn’t feel like paying for a server transfer to get away from it.

When War Mode was implemented it destroyed years worth of said population and community and had to build it up again from scratch. They needed ways to incentivize players to join War Mode and from their own words, wanted to implement more WPvP events that didn’t involve PvP servers and players on them who didn’t even want to participate in PvP.

Nah, just rework it. I will always hate it when players opt for Blizzard to remove PvP features while we’re already the minority player base who barely get any attention from the devs as is.

Further destroying the PvP player base by advocating for Blizzard to remove a PvP feature instead of just reworking a PvP feature.

If you wanna keep clearing your bounties, by all means continue to clear them, but people are still going to (rightfully so) complain about the use of follower dungeons in WPvP to escape PvP combat regardless of how you’re using them, even if you’re just, “using them to clear a bounty.” Use a different way to clear them if you need to.

I wouldn’t call it a feature. I’d say it’s one of the worst designed toxic systems they have made. I can’t say enough bad things about it. If you were to look up the definition of what bad game design looks like you would find the bounty system.

Get rid of it.

Until then not going to participate in it and will bypass it till they remove it.

It was fine in BfA because the zones were designed with no flying in mind and we didnt have a faster means of flying like skyriding. They just didn’t keep up with it really.

It only feels awful right now because we’re used to Skyriding which is insanely faster than ground mounts, steady flight was also increased from 320% to 420%, and the zones were designed for flying, not so much for ground mount.

Bounty system in BFA was fun af.

Especially in Mechagon when the Jetpacks were available. Could zoom around with bounty and get people to follow you up to the top of the mountain to knock them off…
