Ensemble: Winterborn Regalia

I don’t know if this is a bug or not but the in-game GM insisted I put in a bug report on it. All I want is for someone to substitute the Winterborn Tunic for the Winterborn Robe I got. This ensemble is EXPENSIVE (25,000 anima) so I’d like to get what I want and not to have to use another Tunic with it (which is what I’m doing now). I’m not using the Robe at all.

This is the correspondence (I’ve cut the niceties):

My initial help ticket: I just purchased the Ensemble: Winterborn Regalia and didn’t get the Winterborn Tunic. I got the Winterborn Robes, I wanted to use the Tunic.

GM response: I took a further look into this to see what I could find, and it does seem correct as to what is provided by the ensemble and is working as intended. When you try on an ensemble, you will receive the pieces that shown on your character from the ensemble.

If you feel that this may be occurring due to a bug, I would encourage you to submit an in-game bug report.

My response: From what you said, it looks like it’s working as intended but I still want the Tunic. If only one chest piece comes with the ensemble, can you switch out the Robe with the Tunic for me?

I’ve never bought an ensemble before and was unaware of how to buy one even though I’ve been playing WoW for 15 years. I thought, erroneously, that it was just like buying anything else. I didn’t try it on when I bought it because I had already looked at it numerous times and knew I wanted it – thinking it came with both the tunic and the robe. I guess it defaults to the robe.

I would think that there would be a message given to the player, when selecting an ensemble, of what they’re buying.

GM response: First thing I checked was if any new bug reports have been sent in about this problem. Often, if an issue is widespread we will find multiple instances where players are reporting the same things on the forums, twitter or through tickets. It does not appear that this is a known issue currently, which means we will need to forward your concerns along to our Quality Assurance and Development department.

For transparency sake, bug reports are not directly handled by GM’s because there are technical limitations beyond our control, and these issues require QA and the Devs intervention. This is not to say that GM’s cannot assist with in game bugs that are widespread or have known workarounds. That simply means that if we find a workaround for a bug, we can relay that information back to you.

In this case, that is not an option because it has not been reported up and/or there are no known workarounds for it yet………

I just fell into this exact same trap. Rogues don’t wear robes, cmon.

So now I have this set that I have been saving up for for weeks, and I can’t even wear it as a complete set.

Curiously, the green conservator set available at rank 5 queens conservatory, shows a robe if you click the item on the vendor, but shows a tunic in the collections tab. I wonder which you actually receive?

It seems very odd that a tunic is available for every other set, except this one. That does suggest to me that it might be a bug.

This has now been fixed!

Thank you dev team! So happy to have a robe-free option
