There is absolutely no reason that this armor mog has to be leather only, despite the name. I was super excited to get this set for my warrior because I thought it looked really good, I went and bought all the materials for it from the auction house, and I can’t even use it. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! Why can’t it apply like heritage armor where it can just go over anything? I don’t even have a leather wearing character and I really don’t want to make one just to use this.

We should be able to transmog any armor type over any armor type. Period. Transmog is only cosmetic.

Players claim they want class identity…which includes wearing the correct armor type. We can’t have monks running around in Paladin Tier 2 recolors.

Class identity is your abilities, not how you look. In ESO my Sorcerer is wearing cloth but transmogged into full plate armor. He looks like a warrior but plays like a Sorcerer, feels like a Sorcerer, is a Sorcerer.

I like the notion of creative transmogs. I mean you can transmog to basically be in a loin cloth and nothing else so integrity of outfits is out the window. Battle mages, samurai warriors, clerics in plate, shamans in robes, who cares seriously.
And if you really wanted to see folks go back and run old dungeons unlock all spec options for each class in terms of gear. That would do it.
So many options, really, that make sense.

This is annoying. I just got all the materials and bought for my evoker but can’t wear. But my same evoker can wear the cloth venthyr sets. FIX! <3

OMFG … I’m sitting here busting my brain trying to figure out why I can’t buy the thing only to come here and realize it’s locked to leather wearers only …

why would anyone think something named ‘leather armor’ could be transmogged to other gear types?
and no all armor shouldn’t be able to be transmogged by all classes - you would have every class needing on all gear for transmog and people wouldn’t be able to progress.
do the transmogs in shadowlands say cloth on the name ? maybe the leather right in the name was a clue

Indeed that’s it. They also have a world drop Dead Man’s Leather and Dead Man’s Chains that ever class regardless of armor type can wear. I got what you were saying tho.
I don’t agree with transmog being usable by all gear types but when they give a renown reward - they should either adjust it to reflect the different characters gear or make it usable by all.
That is on my DK - a reward it appears is totally useless to them.

I find it silly that it was available to me as a Warlock with no restrictions on mouse over, Just looks like a regular transmog set that you can buy until you actually go to buy it, even lets you know you’ll use up the items for buying it in the warning popup, but then wont let you actually get it

Agreed, I am very frustrated by this after grinding out to level 12 Renown. Basically I felt very disappointed and a little sad because I really like that set and I love the Iskaari aesthetic.
