Enough with these gloomy Gothic endgame color themes

Can’t we get some variety? Torgast from what I seen…all dark blue/silver boring. Raid…all like dark and reddish…world…all like 1 color or consistent color theme. Can we change it up? Add some brightness or something. Reference WOTLK raids or the contrast between Kara BT and Sunwell from TBC ect…

Points to Ardenweald which is entirely blue with some brown, and the bright sight killing eye sore that is Bastion the eternal sun… “You see this? I can’t…I’ve been staring at the grass for too long in Bastion and am now permanently blind…”

Almost that’s not the theme of Torghast and the Maw or anything.

We are in the underworld. Most of it’s kind of drab. Feels legit.

Are you only doing 1 wing of Torghast over and over? Torghast actually has a good mix of visuals IMHO…

It’s a shame that most americans never played legendary Gothic series

It’s really fitting that blizzard chose the plague doctor outfit in the year of the covid. Although I agree, I’m a fan of simpler armor and older colorful sets.

As soon as I saw Maldraxxus for the first time, it immediately reminded me of all the fel zones from legion. The devs are so proud of their work that they abandon flying to force everyone to see it all up close yet they just copy paste 75% of it from earlier zones.

Literally 1/2 of Torghast is the same bland hallways but with a red, blue, or green tint. Skoldus Halls, Fracture Chambers, and Soulforges all use the exact same visuals except they throw a filter tint on your screen. Feel free to go take a look and confirm for yourself if you doubt it.

You do get some variety in Coldheart, Mortregar, and Upper Reaches to be fair.

Would you rather raid the care bear kingdom?

God no.

One of the best things about Chromie Time is that it basically deleted older expansions. You can completely ignore the existence of Pandaria and unless your raid group has a monk or Panda its like the expansion never happened.

I actually liked Pandaria, but I thought it should have been more of a patch-like racial introduction, more than an entire expansion.

Pandaria as a patch island would have been perfect. It definitely should not have been a whole expansion. But no use crying over spilled milk I suppose. It was done, and now the milk has been wiped up.

Bastion not bright enough for ya?

If I ever get 3 wishes from a Genie I’m going to use one to turn all your toons into Pandas.

Pandaria was a love letter to the newly opening Chinese market. It wasn’t about lore (the original Pandaran was an April fool’s joke), it was about selling more subscriptions with the approval of the Chinese communist government.

Bastion is like just yellow and white. Boring zzzz

Eh, Torghast/the Maw are just… Diablo Aesthetics. It’s Pandemonium Fortress all over again.

And for me, I’m okay with that, but… again, it’s Diablo aesthetics. It is not WarCraft aesthetics. Even at its darkest, the Undead Zombie Army was festooned with bright purples and greens, and the Legion…? Neon-Green Fel and bright colorful demons are the order of the day. Even the “Void” creatures are usually some form of glowy dark blue.

The badguys of WarCraft have always been firmly on the “Doom/Doom 2” side of evil aesthetics. All the dismal, low-saturation and gray everything everywhere? That’s Diablo. And if you don’t like Diablo… not hard to see why you don’t like a lot of Shadowlands.
