Enough is ENOUGH

Lag. Everywhere LAG.

I log in. I lag
I walk to the mailbox. I lag
I go to the broker. I lag

I zone to another area or fly to a new flight point. I lag.

One constant? The voice chat service

“Lost connection to the voice chat service.”
“Reconnected to the voice chat service.”

Either …
a) FIX it
b) get RID of it
c) let US disable it FOR GOOD

The ONE THING I looked forward to this holiday weekend was playing on my account and what I get for my decision is NON STOP lag and the constantly repeating message of the voice chat service BREAKING and RECONNECTING, which, AS IT TURNS OUT means the game is about to CRASH.

I am NOT SURE how much quality assurance your developers NEED to realize that the voice chat service sucks monkey nuts but…GUESS WHAT…it does.

This isn’t an issue everyone is having. So finding the culprit isn’t easy. Have you tried posting on the Tech Support forums?

Lots of loot/ability lag happening in the open world. Been happening for a while with no apparent solution. The quality of this product has consistently degraded.

That’s odd, I don’t get lag in game and I haven’t in a long time.

I think it has something to do with areas being very populated and shards having to adjust constantly. The only evidence I can submit for this is that I attempted to farm skins in Drustvar during an invasion while I had warmode on and it was clearly very populated in that area.

This is pretty normal for a game in Beta stage.

Have you tried the scan+repair function?

.pcgamer.com/blizzard-paying-staff-to-leave-in-order-to- cut-costs-according-to-reports/ More than likely this is the cause.

Lags like a f2p game, but costs 15 a month and has a cash shop.

Dead Game.

I occasionally run into some mild lag during faction assaults, but I think more sharding could solve that.

Ya we have had ability / loot lag on Oceanic servers since BFAs launch.

Except it’s not happening consistently across the board to everyone. Which is why I asked if he went to ask the Tech Support forums for any help.

Right. I can see this is going to be a productive thread with logical comments posted.

I’m out.

A problem doesn’t need to happen to everyone to be solved. You’ll always have the dopes who reply to tech support threads with nothing more than “doesn’t happen to me.” It happens consistently to the people who are experiencing it. No excuses. No white knighting. Time for Blizzard to live up to their legacy of quality. Because right now, I see a dying product and a dying company.

I think it has to do with the quality of the workers. I remember even years ago when WoW has multitudes of millions of players the game didn’t lag like this. And now we have all this technology and it just gets worse. I just think they don’t care about lag anymore as long as you play that’s all that cares to them I guess.

Oh boy. This seems to be quite the trend.
Post in GD as a vague rant with no technical details whatsoever?

Can we at least get your system specs and software versions?
Im not blaming you, your system, or your connection. Yet.
Before we burn GD down with tech questions though can we get some tech specs? LOL

Have you tried turning it off and back on again? LOL

Since 8.1 this has been a consistent problem for me on my Warlock, but NOT my warrior. They both use the same addons, so i don’t think that’s it…

Last post to deal with this… stuff.

Which is why I said, and I quote:

No one made excuses. No one was white knighting. But that insult, along with calling me a dope for no reason, just earned you a report and another hope for the ignore function back, because I have zero respect for anyone who uses that bs as if it were some form of good argument.

Asking tech support may have solutions. And if not, it escalates the issue further for Blizz to keep looking for a solution.

But you keep up with “dead company, dead game” and just ignore the logic and reality.

Have fun with this thread.

Merry Christmas all.

You may want to read that part again. No one called you anything unless you are specifically the one replying on the tech forums with simply

I know my PC has been updating Windows several times over the past few weeks, and it gets better when that’s not happening in the background.

Not sure if that explains it, or if my PC is a toaster now and I need a new one (or I need to use my iPhone–don’t you all have phones?), or if something is going on with the server end of things…
