We have had 2 weeks of daily resets and 2 weekly resets and this NPC and quest are STILL bugged 95% of the time and not working. When are we going to get a hotfix? This is something that is blatantly not working and is broken. Why are you refusing to fix it?

did blizz just give up on this quest???
Crazy that they say it’s working as intended.
The Spy-bot is standing right next to him and when you talk to him, he beleives the spy-bot is in disguise and luring out the people from the library.
It’s definitely bugged. I’ve never had this issue until HC…

blizz are just not smart enough to fix a 18 year old bug. remember it took them 2 years to fix mob pathing underwater. they still have not fixed mobs under the terrain.
I never liked this quest anyway 
This quest was broken during classic launch, as well as, SoM launch. You have to either do it right after a reset or be with competent people that won’t break the quest (right after a reset). Once someone breaks it, it’s done until reset. This has been a problem since Vanilla. Since HC will have a constant flow of levelers until the servers die, good luck ever getting this done unless you camp it after a reset.

The bug is extremely frustrating.
Logged in to do it after this weeks reset and was already broken. Stayed on and watched him for 2 more hours and nothing changed.
Guess what… It’s still not working, tried 5 different layers today. Come on Blizz.
Update: Still not working and the support article admits that this is NOT intended and NOT working as it should.
