There are also a few posters here who sound like they just entered their second year of college and have had their minds blown with some kind of philosophy class and cannot stop themselves from knowing everything everywhere.
I wear mage tower appearances on most of my toons and have had exactly 0 people messaging me agag over how amazing I look and how they too can look as fabulous as I. Apparently I’m doing something wrong because everything else spends half their day thwarting the dreams and hopes and newbies.
I’m really sorry to be the one to break it to you if you need to hear this but if you were told you deserve everything in life by someone then know now that you were lied to in that moment. No one deserves everything. Especially a first world problem magicked out of pixels. In a video game.

And sometimes, it’s overly laughable. A girl I knew in high school did this to me with. She saw that my parents got me a graphing calculator, so she went out and got a better one and HAD to show me. She saw me playing MTG with her boyfriend, saw that I had some old out-of-print cards and went to a card shop an hour away and bought multiples of the same cards so she could say “I have 3 of those”. I’m like “cool! thumbs up”. She did this all through high school and even after. She finds out I bought a house, she has to buy a bigger house, etc.
Either she really likes you or you came up with a delusional story that you wish happened.
On topic all having fomo content does is make it so when burnout occurs the player doesn’t come back because they feel they have missed out on too much. It may cause them to stay a patch cycle longer than they would have because they want that shiny armor but when they do quit they don’t come back. See my 75% dark btag list that was filled with people who did ce glad etc. Burned out and never came back.
Weird because I’ve been asked multiple times about the fire glaives flails and ghost kitty. Maybe you just didn’t get the unique cool ones.

so you would be upset if they brought back the same weapons with different tints? that seems like a dumb excuse. They do different tints of stuff all the time
I feel like these are fine, genneraly. But for example, everyone back in the day had access to original deadmines and shadowfang keep. I mean, there wasn’t anything super prestige about the fights or the gear that dropped, especially since everyone had access to them.
Something like the black quiraji battle tank or the black proto drake, i can understand those items being prestige and being removed. Or even the naxxramaz revamp and onyxias lair. Most players never even saw the original incarnations of those raids when they were current content anyway. But i feel that with cataclysm, we did lose alot of stuff from the game. The revamp was cool, but you always get arguments of adding the classic 1-60 content back into the game for chromie time, the prestige argument being one of them. I definitely feel this should be added back into the game at some point in the future. None of the vanilla 1-60 leveling stuffs was prestige to be honest. I feel it would add alot more for transmog runns, etc.
Like it sucks when someone asks me, hey, where did you get that whirlwind axe from, it looks pretty cool. Only to tell them that it was from a quest chain that has long been removed from the game. They usually are like, well dang, i started in pandaria, does that mean i cannot get it? And unfortunately i say yes. Usually, most of the old gear is an offset or a recolor of some kind, but my point is that it is important to realize where prestige ends and where it begins. Like i just do not feel like the gauntlets of divinity or the blackened defias set, or the dog catchers mits are really that prestige.
Other examples are like the limitted time stuffs, like the onyxian drake pet for the 5th anniversary i believe it was. Other stuffs of that nature. But it sucks when you are a new player, and you find out a 2 handed axe, which quite frankly by the time wrath was out, the whirlwind axe was pretty easy to get, just isn’t available to you anymore because you started to late. All this content was available for so long as well. I am on the fence of hoping it all comes back some day, at least the way it was in patch 3.3.5 or 4.0.1 . All that classic 1-60 content would be a nice change of pace to the way i usually level in retail as well. Another option.
