Being productive doesn’t have to mean work. On average we all work way too much these days. Productivity has increased at a far greater rate than pay has. Don’t work more than your required hours! Resist overtime at all costs, and never do it for free!
Overtime is not a triumph of the workers. It is a failure of management.

I enjoy work but I secretly do much less than I normally would because I learned how to automate the time-consuming, annoying part.

Does eating a bagel with cream cheese count as work, when you are a multi million dollar stock holder as you watch the world burn during morning cartoons?
