Enhancement spec bonuses

nah, I think I’m gunna continue to put that whole demographic in my verbal crosshairs for actively attempting to worsen the spec. Very original “touch grass” post though I’m sure that took a while to cook up.

“Verbal crosshairs” Jesus christ, you really do need to go outside.

You’re already losing another 24% lb damage from ascend Tuesday. Physical thorims is just sustain that you need melee uptime and procs to max damage. With wdwb you can max pwave kill windows and have more uptime on ranged that kite a lot and ignore all armor into plate.

Nailed it here. Storm build - nothing flows together at all, everything else other then SS just feels like filler as you said. Going a whole boss fight without DRE procs makes me want to alt-f4 out, the build just has too many things going against it.

With elementalist - everything syncs together, your next spell sets up the next spell, and you actually rewarding combinations to pull off.

I refuse to touch storm build until they:

A) Make stromstrike deal nature damage. The whole mixing of physical and nature damage is just dumb and pointless. Make it a talent or passive of the DRE tree nodes so the elementalist can’t get at it and cause balancing issues.

B) rework DRE completely so RNG doesn’t decide your entire fate of a fight

C) make doom winds last longer than 8 seconds. it’s just a comically under powered cooldown, you’re trying to cram sundering/crash/stormstrike globals inside this pathetically short window for very little reward.

D) make the other buttons actually meaningful. Enhance is supposed to be fast paced, the downtime you have if you don’t get SB procs is just painful.

I got nothing against introducing more builds to Enhance, but like you said not at the expense of worsening the spec, especially not for the players who just aren’t skilled enough to pull off the elementalist build.

i really really hate the current shaman season. in fact i depise it. If you dont like enhancement then dont play it but primordial wave IS NOT shaman lore nor is it main stream its just some stupid shadowlands crap. Bring back Legion Enhance, bring back Boulder Fist and Mealstrom and make windfury great again

shouldve kept all those shadowlands abilities in the past honestly.

let me know if you wanna go on a jog with me, or whatever other dumb thing you might be suggesting with your extremely original response.

edit: nvm just look at your name

OHHHHHHHHH good one

it literally added 1 button to the current play style lol. Also enabled ppl to actually place storm if they chose to.

Outlaw Rogue and Fury Warrior have a similar playstyle as Storm build but they don’t spamming Sinister Strike / BT. Fury Warrior want to spend rage on Rampage ASAP. Outlaw Rogue want to spend Combo Point for BtE on cooldown / Slice and Dice (maintaining buff) / Dispatch. I would fix DRE / Asc choice node by tying DRE to MSW spending rather than SS so it’s encourage you to spending MSW than spamming SS.
Asc need to be buffed, it’s weak CD due to 3 minutes. They can buffing Asc by CD being 1.5 / 2 minutes.

It does added 1 button to the rotation but Sundering for damage and CL in ST (elementalist) is little cringe. Storm completely ignored the functionality of S2 4pc. If you add S2 set bonus to the current talent tree, elementalist is going to blow storm out of water

I think having random DRE procs alongside maybe like a accumulating charge buff where after you spend a certain amount of maelstrom you get get a guaranteed proc of Ascendance might be cool. How many charges may be a thing to figure out though.

What is so cosmically different from going from:

Flame Shock> Wolves > Doom Winds > Sundering > Storm Strike Spam

To

Pwave > Wolves > Doom Winds > Sundering > Storm Strike Spam

It’s literally 1 button.

The Season 2 set bonus is not what made Storm even remotely good in Season 2. It was talent tree changes to specs talents that made up the Storm build and the fact we lost the previous Season’s bonus which was band aid fixing the issue with Elementalist which was poor maelstrom generation but Blizzard did nothing to address that issue in Season 2 but buffed the talents that composed Storm. So Storm pulled ahead on single target (still was garbage in cleave or M+). Elementalist is doing over and above better in large part to that issue being fixed by Elemental Assault. If you slap the Season 2 set bonus on current talents, Elementalist will still be doing comically better than Storm. It’s the spec tree fault.

Yeah, Blizzard need to do something with DRE / Asc choice node because DRE promote “ignore everything but SS” playstyle and Asc is too weak CD. They are good talents to start to looking at storm’s problems. Spending certain amount of MSW to get a guaranteed proc of Ascendance would be cool.
WFT need to be baseline / aura buff is another talent I would change as well.

Just play Warrior, as that’s what Legion Enh shaman was… But worse

What we have NOW is more core to what they were pre-WoD.
Ever since WoD they keep trying to rebrand our playstyle, but worse each step. Until now

I don’t like Primordial Wave at all.  But I also despised Legion-era enhance shaman just as much, perhaps even more so, because:

(I often quipped to my guild mates during that time that enhance was a squishier warrior with less damage and a blue rage bar.)

I know how to play elementalist. I just don’t enjoy it at all. It’s just not fun to me. I fell in love with enhance due to stormstrike back in wrath. It made me feel like a 1 hand fury warrior butv with lightning. season 2 brought that back. The visuals are super satisfying from crash lightning to constant use of lightning bolt that cleaves flame shocked targets. Personally I find S2 to be the most enjoyable. Visually and how it plays. Oh well, forced into lava lash. Seems I’m not playing shaman again ):
