Enhancement Shaman Questions

How is Enh Shaman? I’ve never played shaman before and I prefer melee so that’s why I’m picking it. But is it something that’s sought after for raids? Is it as squishy as people say? I like classes that have a chance to survive against rare/elite creatures for certain quests and whatnot. Thanks for the help!

  • its my main, first toon made in tbc and i still love him , enhance is a mix of melee abilities with caster spells like shocks, lightning bolts and chain lightning
  • you are sought for raids, you have good utility, best kick in the game
  • yes, you are squishy, but you have good self heals that makes up for it
  • you can survive on your own and you have an earth elemental that can serve as a tank every 5 mins, he last for a minute, but there are rares, like zereth mortis super rares who will require a real tank to be killed

As other poster said, very sought after in raids. Not terrible in m+, not great either. It’s squishy for a melee spec; standing in melee always has its dangers though. As for survival in open world, I think enh is actually pretty good: you have great self-healing and mobility, a decent defensive in astral shift, earth ele for tanking, and I can generally just pop bloodlust and burn down a lot of the rares in ZM (not all though). Elites are no problem at all, ignore the “Suggested players: 3” thing in any quest.
