Enhancement Shaman - More nerfs - Why is always like this blizz?

So apparently shamans can not be considered a top tier DPS, is that what you’re trying to tell us blizz? are we like a joke class for you? Name 1 expansion that we were on the top 5 dps list.
This is the biggest nerf you have done to a class, and i’m not talking to the most common classes that are always top tier and maybe it’s a good idea to maybe just maybe this expansion to not start on the top and have a new interesting class on it.
I really hope that you’re not nerfing because of PvP, if so maybe it’s a good time to start separating PVP from PVE or innovate something because this is not working.

So here we go, 25% flat nerf without any explanation… and now more nerfs are coming in the next beta patch. To name a few:

  1. Flametongue weapon: From 2.5% to 2%
  2. Stormstrike (one of our main abilities): From 258% to 193%
  3. Windfury Attack: From 24% to 18%
  4. Ascendance: From 250% to 187%
  5. Firenova: From 52% to 39%
  6. Ice Strike: From 138% to 103%
  7. Sundering: From 245% to 184%

We use all of these abilities as our rotation, so yes this hits hard.

Fool of me for thinking that maybe I was going to try a new class but here we are, blizz wants us to play mages, warlocks and hunters if you want to be on the tops tier dps. Believe me that always playing the same class because is the only option is not motivating people to keep playing.
Main warlock since always but here we are apparently playing again warlock another exp.

Blizzard developers/game designers are like politicians; incompetent and clueless. They started well but this Xpac is going to inherit all the BAD from previous failures and they are going to piss a large part of the player base off once again. They do not learn.

Enhance is still a spec? I don’t think I had a single one in any M+ group for all of Shadowlands.

Seriously what in the hell is going on with the balancing? 25% across the board nerf was overkill and they continue to nerf the spec. They actually took people having fun with Enhance personally. What a fn joke…

I think they were good in legion. I mained one then for a spell, although they may have gotten nerfed later in the expansion

I do find it obnoxious that they ususally suck, they are one of the most fun and visually appealing classes in the game. I usually keep one as an alt just because I enjoy them.

i swear the people like surprised about the nerfs just don’t pay any attention to the beta and just think it’s because of prepatch. eh, what can you do.

Wasn’t enhancement at the top of dps by a massive margin in DF beta? I love the spec but if it’s outperforming everyone else to such a huge degree then yes it should be nerfed

The problem is that enhancement shamans were wayyyyy too powerful. If Blizzard did not do something, then a raid would consist of 15 enhancement shamans, 3 healers, and 2 tanks.

The game is in a weird spot right now because of borrowed power on top of the new talents. I would focus more on beta tuning.

They weren’t blowing people away on beta, up at the top yes but the only thing they were absolutely blowing people away on was pvp with elemental blast doing insane damage.

That doesn’t even come close to describing what they were on beta lol

Guess warlocks can continue the trend of being the top dps class in another expansion. They are known for that.

Thus why shaman become warlocks in lore and reality. Wow will never give you the power you desire as it’s a frost element.
Join the Dark harvest and fel your foes with shadow, demons and hellfire.

I mean 25% blanket nerf is absolutely MASSIVE.

I agree with the OP, shaman are not allowed to be competitive dps for some reason. Should rename the class to shame man.

The best part is: no rationale provided.

What do you mean? Enhancement was sneaking up on Affliction and we cant have that! That’s our beloved warlock class!

I see another person crying about this who never played it in beta, this class was turbo broken and one shotting everyone so it needed heavy nerfs. There’s still 3 weeks for tuning passes for them to bring it up in PvE more so relax.

There was a very specific broken build. Nerf that build.

I agree but it’s blizzard we’re talking about here, people should be up in arms that they can’t seem to nerf for PvP and PvE separately and have failed every single time they attempted it in the past.

I’m looking at the generic Shaman talent tree, and unlike most trees, the high-end talents are all non-dps. Shamans are getting the advantage of boosting their damage at the expense of utility before getting to 70.

That said, last night in open world combat, I was still doing good damage, and, in fact, more than I was doing pre-patch. But I think we’ll start seeing things even out not that far down the line.

It is knowed

Blizzard are afraid of Shaman’s

If you dont know the numbers then why assume? Yeah they were one shotting people in pvp with an overperforming ability.
